Worked up 4 designs, accepted our changes, built and installed in a timely manner.  All of the different workers were very friendly and professional.  Everything looks great.

Mark came to the house the day after I called him. We discussed what we were looking for, and he made several suggestions which we found very helpful. We then made an appointment to meet with him as his office. He had the drawings ready and a perspective of what they would look like. We picked the color of the cabinets and the style of the drawers and doors. A couple of days later he sent us the proposal and we were very happily surprised at the price. We had no idea what to expect, but he certainly was within our budget.
When we were ready to have them installed they came promptly and his crew was very professional and interested that we were happy with the cabinets. They came twice, as we had some towers that needed to go on the granite which was on the lower unit. Both times right on time, working with our schedule. Mark even came out just before the installation to make sure we were happy with the color we had chosen. The cabinets are absolutely beautiful, we are thrilled with the result. We will definitely use California Designers Choice if we ever need new cabinets in any other room.

Quality of the work that I saw was excellent. Solid construction methods used including dovetail joints and solid wood materials.
I did not actually use this provider but instead used a remodeling company that has its' own cabinet making shop.

We designed the fireplace and cabinetry with Mark Mulchay at his computer. He guided us the whole way from picking the wood to what stains and finish would work with the floor that we had picked out.

CCD did a great job for us. Top-knotch professionalism. I will use them again in the future.

They did everything that they said that they would be doing. They did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Excellent from start to finish. The cabinets are perfect and less expensive then stock cabinets I had priced. The installation crew was professional and on time. Mark was a pleasure to work with on the design process and I thought their prices were extremely fair for this quality of cabinets.

They did a phenomenal job. I have nothing bad to say about them. The prices were competitive with other jobs. The price included all costs there were no hidden costs.

I don't know the full story but from what i can gather he got busy and i guess my project wasn't worth his while!

I called Mark, who was referenced from my friend that owns a granite company, who showed up and took all measurements prior to my gutting the room. I had a general idea that I wanted the kitchen open to the dining room, which opened to the den. After Mark pulled the measurements, the wife and I rolled down to his shop in Camarillo where he modeled our room on the 50" plasma. That was pretty nice; being able to see your virtual kitchen on a TV-sized monitor. Anyhow, Mark incorporated my idea to have a large island, but came up with some great ideas. I currently had two small windows that looked out directly into a pink block wall about 5' away. Mark suggested using a glass block window. Worked out perfectly. He also talked about what draws attention when you walk in and designed a slight arch over the kitchen sink and 4x3 glass block window. So when you walk in, the window draws your attention and makes a slightly darker kitchen seem lighter. He also managed to wedge some pantry space in somehow that didn't look cobbled on. Anyhow, cabinetry is not a fast trade by its nature. From measure to install was about 5-6 weeks. However, the cabinets are BEAUTIFUL. I used to work as an assistant superintendent for a residential tract home developer, so I fancy myself with a pretty good eye for quality and detail. These cabinets were WELL made, solid and the quality was among the best I've ever seen. They arrived unfinished. Installation took about 2-3 days. The quality is apparent in the installation of the detailed crown molding. Absolutely perfect. Then the painter came in and finished them in one day. I cannot tell you how happy I am with the cabinets. No less than every single person who has seen our kitchen has commented on how much they love it; due in great part to the cabinetry. Mark is extremely responsive. His installers and finishers do impeccable work. The only thing to the negative is that they are not cheap. The total price did include, however, a huge island and cabinetry for the dining room. My island is 6'x7'. In his defense, however, these cabinets were much better than I would've gotten from anywhere else, at slightly less than I would've paid from others. I totally over-improved my kitchen, but it makes me happy to host people in such a nice environment.
