Auto Detailing Service
Pristine Detail is somewhat related to the and quot;Test Onlyand quot; smog check next door, so when I had my Alfa Romeo checked for smog, I also had them do a detailing. The owner talked me into a pretty serious polishing of the paint; I hesitated because the paint is original, and I assume well worn, but he said it would be no trouble.
They took care of getting it smog checked and detailed at the same time. Car was finished a bit earlier than promised, but I was running late, so they left it outside the shop for me to pick up after hours (in the lot, not street, a nice touch in this high traffic area), and it looked great inside and out. After I got home, I noticed small areas on the edge of the door and the edge of the hood and trunk where the paint was totally removed, and the bare metal shows. This is not a show car, these spots are mostly hidden, and water won't pool near them, so it's not a rust risk, but it was exactly the issue I identified, and I'm concerned about polishing again.
IF not for the paint strip, I would give the quality an B+ or A, and the professionalism a higher grades as well, as the car was spotless, and the wax job has really held up over the ensuing years; I generally clean this car myself and really appreciate how thoroughly they did the work.
