hardwood floor
+ -1 moreAvoid this company at all costs! The hardwood floor is horribly buckled, bent, and uneven throughout the house! Lana Floor Company ignored industry standards and did not allow the oak boards to acclimate before installation. As a result, after installation the floor boards absorbed excess moisture with resulting widespread damage. The only solution to repair the damaged hardwood floor is a complete sanding and refinishing of the entire floor. I am told this will cost in excess of $6,000! I have filed a formal complaint with the California State Contractor's License Board. The owner of Lana Floor Covering has yet to respond to my complaint. In my complaint I stipulated that Lana Floor Covering is to pay the full cost of sanding and refinishing their defective work.
Description of Work: Installed approx. 1800 sq ft of solid prefinished red oak hardwood floor in my house in Marin county.
