Bruce, the owner, was a very nice guy at first. He came did the estimate and was a referral from friends. I could find no reviews on him and though he was my highest bidder, I went with him. He promised to start and end the job on certain dates with plus or minus a few days and I thought he was reliable and trustworthy.
I liked his personality and was leary since I didn't see reviews, but I moved forward.
Gave him a hefty deposit. Without explaining everything, he started my job late and was missing a worker. When his worker came back, he send him to another job- the job that made mine start late.
My job then ran late of course since it started late and he didn't finish my job completely- forgot a few things, said he'd finish after I paint and would take him only a 1/2 day and we could do anytime.
Called to finish job about a month later and it took a week to get a response. He said he was swamped for 2 weeks. OK, that was OK with me- I just needed a date to finish. Took another many days to get a response but finally did and we had a date set.
His worker came.......and did not finish the 1/2 day job! He said he needed another day. The work they did was also sloppy. I have heard contractors do this but I have yet to have a really bad one and this surprised me coming from him.
Where we stand now, 4-5 days to get a response if I do but nothing planned at this point. What can I do? Not much. I guess this is what happens when he gets a bigger bid- not finish the job he started since he already was paid. And he doesn't seem to care what his customer thinks since he already has a big job.
I am doing this review so others know before they decide. I am disappointed to say the least.
