Everything went fine - their 5-hour window to arrive was a bit longer than I would have liked, but on both visits, they arrived within the first two hours of the window. I don't know about prices for this sort of work, but it seemed very fair and their work was flawless.

I called and go a next day appointment window (1 to 6). Jeremy call about 15 minutes before he arrived. He removed the front cover and diagnosed the problem with the electronic of the washer. The problem was that one of the electrical connection boxes had come loose (KitchenAid manufacturing defect), dropped down inside the door pulling loose an electrical connection. This he fixed with no additional parts except a screw to hold the box in place. Fast and friendly service. PS: The last time Thrifty fixed a dishwasher for us (1994) it lasted over 20 years.

The lady that took my call replied they don't to microwave repair. However, she referred me to ARC T.V. in Burbank. I am very grateful for this referral, since ARC was able to fix the 2009 Kitchenaid microwave for a very reasonable service charge. Yea!! A big thanks to Thrifty Appliance Repair!!

This was not a service call, I just needed some parts for a Maytag dishwasher.
I stopped by with the model number and the parts guy quickly ordered them for pickup. A few days later I stopped in again and got them.
The guy knew what he was talking about and was able to identify exactly what I needed. And the cost was very reasonable for what I needed.
I would definitely go back to them for service based on this experience.

I've been using this company for over 30 years. I own some rental property and it's nice not to have to look for someone every time a tennant has a problem. They have always been honesst and fair in their dealings with me.
In the last service, the oven went out and wasn't heating. It's an old oven and it needed some parts. The repairman, was able to diagnoes the problem and fix it quickly.
I really like these guys and I have never had a problem with them in all the time I've dealt with them

I ended up buying my new dryer through them. The person who installed my old dryer didn't put the exhaust hose into the floor. The man from Thrifty went back there and properly installed the hose for me. I also really like that it is a family operated store that sells a lot of Made-in-America products.

I called to price out, then order, a new washing machine. Scheduled the
delivery and installation on the same call. Quick and decent, though the
man who did the pricing said he'd and quot;put one of the girlsand quot; on the phone
to arrange delivery, and I'm sure she was a grown woman.
They came when they said they would, not just within the window but
first--and called before they arrived, which was nice. The two delivery
men/installers were polite, professional and helpful.

When I called Thrifty for service to repair my refrigerator which was not cooling the fresh food, I was told the first available appointment would be the next day between 1:00 and 6:00. Dean arrived outside the appointment window due to traffic congestion. Once there, he wasted no time in going to work to diagnose the problem. In minutes he knew what the problem was and went to work to repair it. The fan was not running. He also offered valuable advice on replacing the plastic water hose to the ice maker with a copper line in order to prevent the hot outside coils from melting it. He even said he would waive the service call fee if I scheduled the appointment within 30 days. He was in and out in no time, and in light of the fact that he'd dealt with bad traffic travelling in all different directions between service calls throughout the day, and it was 7:00 pm when he arrived at my house, he had a great attitude! I would recommend Thrifty and Dean without reservation. Job well done! Thank you!

John came on time and started with my washing machine. He had it working in no time. He called his brother Dean to work on my old Wedgewood stove. Dean came and got it working as well as the broiler that had not worked in years. They were fast, punctual, and very professional.

I like to use local repair people if I can and I had just had 2 great experiences with a washing machine repairman and a company that worked on my microwave so I just googled Thrifty and called for an appointment. Should have known something was up when the only appointment times they have for Burbank are 1-5 p.m. After I pointed out that people have to work to afford to have their refrigerator repaired, they narrowed that down for me to 3-5.

They came out...and 3 weeks later ...I just now have my freezer repaired and it cost 20% more than the quote.

The highlights:
1. No written estimate. A verbal quote but when the bill came due, all of a sudden I owed 20% more than I was expecting. This is a big deal when you are talking about appliance repair. At $300 (what I was expecting) I figured I'd have it repaired...at $370 plus pain and suffering, I would have liked the opportunity to look at new frig/freezers.

2. Ordered the wrong part. Which is a bummer, but it wouldn't have made me write a bad review. The problem was that not one time did they call me to give me an update. I had to call every time. Is the part ordered? When do you expect it in? Is it in? When can we put it in? I probably called that office 8 times, they never called me one time proactively. And when it really counted, when they discovered the right part was more expensive, I sure didn't hear from them then.

3. The repairman has a 'you customers, you don't know nothing' kind of attitude. When I attempted to give him some real feedback, he argued with me and said...and quot;my family has been doing it this way for 30 years.and quot;

4. The service hours are rotten. I had to pay my sitter extra so she could be here during all 3 of the unpleasant visits.

I have to recommend you look elsewhere for your appliance repair service.

I think they are great! They are reliable and offer fair prices. Most importantly, they fix appliances correctly the first time.

I had an oven that would no longer light. I made an appointment, had to cancel. Months later I called again. They had my records, set appt. quickly and did very thorough job of checking out the stove, cleaning as they went. The failed part was no longer available, so they had one rebuilt and came back and completed the repair. I have used them for other appliances also and am very comfortable with their repairmen and the results.

My mom used to use Thrifty. That is how I found out about them. They are an older company that has been around for a while. I just think they are good. I can't really say anything else because I don't want to be politically incorrect, but they're great and I liked the fact they got to me quickly.

It is a family owned business. They offer a fair price. They are very honest as proven in this situation. As the company fixed the problem at the least amount of cost to me. The serviceman showed up on time.

IT TOOK OVER 3 MONTHS FOR THE PROBLEM WITH OUR OVEN TO BE PROPERLY DIAGNOSED and HAD WE NOT PITCHED A FIT, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN CHARGED FOR EACH SERVICE CALL EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE COMING BACK TO FIX THEIR OWN MISTAKES.

IT'S POSITIVE. I'VE USED THEM SEVERAL TIMES. THEY SHOW UP WHEN THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO, AND THEY DO WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO. THEY'RE PLEASANT PEOPLE, AND THEY DON'T CHARGE MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE. IN APPLIANCE REPAIR THAT'S A BIGGIE. THEY'RE PROFESSIONAL. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. WHEN THINGS WORK, IT'S FINE.

THIS COMPANY GOT THE JOB DONE, BUT DID NOT WORK DILIGENTLY. THE PRICE FOR THEIR SERVICE IS JUSTIFIED.
