I had a really great experience with Shea roofing. Earlier this year, my roof was subjected to extensive wind damage. When I solicited quotations, I was immediately impressed with Shea’s professionalism and knowledge. They recommended top of the line GAF shingles with a 50-year warranty and they were able to address the idiosyncrasies of the roof around my attached garage much better than the other proposals I received. As soon as I got on contract with them, they came out and got my damaged roof covered with plastic just ahead of the rain. They kept to the schedule they promised and did a good job cleaning up after the job. Shea also set me up with all the paperwork I needed to submit to LADWP in order to get the “cool roof” rebate. Most importantly, the new roof looks great. In the future, if I ever need roofing done, Shea will be the first company that I contact.

The estimate was very complete and clear and the representative was patient in answering all of my questions. The work was started promptly at the appointed time, and all of the workers were polite and professional. They even put down plywood sheets on my driveway for their trucks, which no other roofing company said they would do. They promptly took care of some "touch-up" items at the completion of the job, and did a good job in cleaning the rain gutters and surrounding ground areas once they were done. Although they quoted a 4 day job, the tear-off of the old roof and installation of the new one (including attic fans) was complete in just 2 days! I had the roof replaced in 2010 using another roofer. Mostly flat roof along with sloped areas with tile. I have had a leak since 2010. Original roofer came out multiple times. Never able to fix it. So frustrating. Saw good reviews for Shea so called. Bill came out and walked around and quickly identified the issue and shared the solution. Gave an estimate and scheduled date to complete work. Team came out as scheduled and completed work quickly including cleaning up and repainting small patch on stucco. We have had several rainy days since. No more leak. A big thanks to Bill and his team of experts.

Great. All the positive recommendations for this company are spot on. Shea Roofing did a fabulous complete re-roofing job on our house. Their cost estimate was in line with other estimates we received, plus they threw in an extended 50 year materials warranty at no charge. We opted for radiant OSB (plywood), Thermasheet radiant barrier, and extra venting for the non-attic addition part of our house which added to the overall cost but should be well worth it in terms of comfort and lowering our utility bills during the hot SF Valley months. The tear-off and installation crews were highly professional and answered all my questions while I was on site. The entire project was started, completed, and inspected according to the contract, and the cleanup was impressively thorough. Bottom line is that we love our new roof and have nothing but great things to say about Shea Roofing. Oh and owner brothers Ken and Bill are great guys.

The job went well. The guys came Tuesday and removed the roof from both buildings. They cleaned up afterwards and left everything in good order. They came back Wednesday and replaced both roofs. They were efficient and professional. Again, they cleaned up afterwards and the new roof looks very nice. After this weekend's rain, I have not seen any leaks, so it appears that everything is good.

I enthusiastically recommend Shea Roofing. The Shea team is professional, knowledgeable, competent, efficient, and friendly. They made solid recommendations for this project (I know because I had talked to several other roofers and read many roofing articles). They kept me informed of what was going to happen each step along the way. The workers were delayed on the first day, and I received a call letting me know just when to expect them. When I called with questions, I received a prompt call back. They cleaned up well each day, and at the end of the job they did an excellent job of leaving my property clear of all debris. I have not found one nail anywhere!

Interviewed five different roofers/contractors and received a wide range of estimates and service experiences. Some individuals never returned calls or answered emails. Others promised to send estimates and never did. Still others simply asked how old the current roof was and without even inspecting it said it needed to be replaced. After nearly losing faith that we'd find someone to do the job, Shea Roofing came by and they were a world apart from all the others. They were punctual, professional and thorough. Although they were the highest bidder their level of professionalism and follow-through won us over. They estimated a three to four day project and finished ahead of schedule. They arrived every day on time, worked steadily in 90-degree heat (!) and left the site impeccably clean at the end of every work day! Their attitude about all unforeseen snags that came up was "we'll take care of it." And they did. The new roof looks wonderful and the final proof of the pudding will be when/if the rains ever return to Southern California but we are confident that the job Shea Roofing did will hold up. We highly recommend them. They are well worth the price. The Shea brothers and their crew are top-notch and it was a pleasure to work with them. Thank you.

Shea roofing did a great job with my roof. They did a really high-quality job, and the roof looks great. We haven't had any rain, and probably won't for another three or four months, but presumably it will do the job it's designed for. Something else to be aware of: These guys want you to be happy. There was something I was unhappy about when the job was first finished, and when I told them about it, one of the owners personally came over and climbed up on my roof on a 95-degree day to fix the problem. And he was really nice about it, too -- didn't make me feel like I was being too picky or like a difficult customer. Just took care of business. These guys are great. I'm really happy I went with Shea Roofing.

They removed all the old roof material, several layers. They replaced scores of damaged wood on the fascia, rafter tails, sheathing, etc. The job took about four days, including tear off of the old roof. The site was perfectly cleaned after the job as if they weren't even there. Bill is honest, you get what you pay for and he does what he says he'll do. The new roof is gorgeous!

Shea Roofing installs roofs in an absolutely exceptional professional manner.  I wish all contractors did as good a job as they did.  It would make my life so much easier.
iWhen they provided us an estimate, which they printed from inside their truck, they informed us of the legal requirements for our city, and how to obtain rebates from both the city and federal government (IRS).  We wanted some wood that was in bad condition replaced so they included in the estimate a per board foot lumber rate.
On the day that construction started they provided and posted a city permit.  A previous roofer that we used did not provide this.  They also arrived on the pre agreed upon time.
They removed the original roof in about 4 hours on day one.  Normally they would completely install the roof in the following two days for a house of our size.  The weatherman predicted rain for our third day so I was understandably worried about how the installation would turn out.  Without me requesting it they installed the new roof in one very long, grueling, work day.
The wood that was replaced with excellent craftsmanship.  There were no gaps between the boards and the trim hung down at an equal height to the existing trim boards.
They explained that for our city either a white roof or colored cool roof was a new requirement for 2015.  Presumably this is in order to save of the electricity being purchased thereby reducing global warming etc.  We liked the colors available in the cool roof project so that is what we purchased.  (You can see actual cool roof examples on Youtube, the company web site, or the GAF brochure which Shea Roofing supplies.)
Two of our neighbors also had their homes re-roofed by Shea Roofing and I have heard nothing but compliments.  I would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic.  The entire process was only two days.  First day - tear off old roof and install plywood.  Second day, the inspector was by in the early AM and signed off on the permit.  The Tiger Paw and roofing was installed along with the vents and powered attic fans.  The job was DONE at the end of the second day.  The inspector come by on Thursday and signed off.  I asked him how it looked, and he said great.  In fact, he said he does most of the roof inspections in Burbank, and Shea is one of the companies they recommend whenever residents call for names of good contractors.  I agree with him.  We checked out a total of four companies before selecting Shea..  We talked with two other neighbors who had Shea do their roofs.  Both of them raved about Bill and Ken.  Shea roofing has my full endorsement.
