I called the number I found on Mike's website and Mike returned my call personally. He said he was able to deliver the next day-- Saturday. I was planning to order a quarter cord of almond but his pricing made it a no-brainer to get at least a half cord. He quoted me $265 for the 1/2 cord of almond firewood, $40 for delivery and stacking, plus an additional charge depending how far beyond 10 feet from the truck the wood had to be stacked.
Mike and two assistants showed up on time in a professional-looking delivery truck-- all cheerful and polite. They stacked the wood perfectly on the site I had prepared around the far side of the house. Even with moving it the additional 70-80 feet around the house they were done in 20 minutes or so. The wood is indeed good quality almond and burns great.
Bottom line:
$265 for 1/2 cord of almond firewood
$40 for delivery & stacking
$35 to wheelbarrow the wood for stacking across the lot
