Mark and his team were fantastic! Mark kept us up to date during every phase of the project, responded to text messages and calls right away and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and answer any questions we had. When the rains started coming in and we were waiting on City inspection, he sent guys out right away to protect our partially completed roof, no questions - just did it and made sure it was done! I would definitely recommend Mark and this company to anyone and everyone!

So very disappointed that I have to leave this review. My elderly father was so very excited about having a new roof put on his home and garage. One of the most important things when dealing with this company is to ensure that all promises and statements are in writing, otherwise it’s a fairy tale. I spoke with my father the day after he signed the contract he was raving about the deal he got for a new roof ($55,000) and that he would get a rebate that he thought would be about $8,000 when he filed his taxes. There was nothing in the agreement about rebates, only a credit program he could file for to see if he was eligible. It has been going on 3-4 weeks plus since Erik S. Responded to my calls about getting the paperwork about the credit program and finishing the work on the house. The few times I did speak with him, I had to call from different numbers each time so he would actually pick up. I have called his office and left him and his manager messages. Even the compliance department won’t return my calls anymore. The company left nails in the front boards of our house and a strange black stripe was left over the white siding where the roof transitions. For $55,000 I would think they would take care of these details and answer the phone. Not leave needed clean up inside out attic storage area. No matter how slick they sound, I would make sure you get multiple quotes before signing, and ensure everything thing they promise you is written down in the contract. Because once they finish and pass you off to the finance company they will ghost you, no matter how often you call and no matter how many voicemails and texts you leave them asking for help.

The problem was his original bid was $8,585, and his total cost to finish the job was $18,000. and that was it, I paid the $18,000 and that was when he left. He's work was good, he just doubled his price.

It went poorly. The sales guy was good at promising me that everything would be top notch and flawless. They had their team removed the solar. The roofing team was supposed to replace any decking that was bad. Later I saw super sloppy work when looking from the inside while we were replacing sheet rock from the original leak. 1- when they were finished, right before it was supposed to hurricane in LA, I was walking around my house and discovered that they didn’t replace and seal the HVAC lines. So after spending $18500 on the roof, a serious amount of water could come in via these gaping holes in the side of the house. I had beg them to come fix before the storm. 2- they stole my 2 story ladder and tried to tell me they never took it, then finally returned it after i badgered them. 3-the worst most insane part was FINDIND AN ACTUAL HOLE IN MY BRAND NEW $18k roof. They had to come and patch it. I am livid and feel sick that I used such a sloppy and incompetent company for such an expensive and important job. DO NOT USE JOURNEY

We had a roof leak in our garage which Journey took care of. They reconstructed most of the garage roof in less than three days. Simon was especially helpful keeping us apprised of the progress of the job. The workers did their jobs diligently and left the work area spotless each day. Thank you guys!

Let me tell you, these guys are absolute pros, and I couldn't be happier with the results! Right from the get-go, Journey Builders impressed me with their professionalism. They showed up on time, were super friendly, and really took the time to understand what I needed for my roof. Their knowledge and expertise were top-notch, and they gave me some great advice and suggestions. Throughout the project, they were total rockstars. The crew worked their tails off, showing incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship. Not only did they do an amazing job with the installation, but they also kept the place clean and tidy throughout. It's like they were never even there, except for the beautiful new roof they left behind! I can't recommend Journey Builders enough. These guys are the real deal when it comes to professionalism, expertise, and customer service.

Recently hired Journey Builders for a full roof replacement, and I urge anyone considering to select them, to choose another company. The roof repair work was sloppy and rushed. They dropped gunk all over the house and made a mess of the coping along the roof's edge. I had other roofers come by and they laughed at their craftsmanship. On top of all that, they were unresponsive and difficult. They started the job and didn't finish for another 7 weeks! Workers would drop by, unannounced, and work for a couple hours before vanishing for days. Beware of these guys! They are predatory salesmen who are quick to take your money and slow to fix your roof.

In our case, we got a quote for 20k to do the roof and 8k to add insulation 1369 square feet. They ripped out the roof and since it was rainy they had to put a tarp on it. After a few days the manager came in and did the inspection and ripped out the tarp three days before it was going to rain according to weather reports and told us it was going to cost another 20k for a total of 48k to do the roof. We either had to go with them or try to find another contractor before it rains on our roofless and tarpless house, we didn't even try to find another contractor in fear of getting charged the original 20k just for the roof demo. I'm starting to wonder if this is standard practice to give someone a quote and then double the quote for the roof after demolition is done. One of the people working on the roof fell through the roof/ceiling and damaged an area about 4x4 foot (i'm glad he was ok), sure they patched it and it's completely different color from the rest of the ceiling but they didn't test if we were exposed to asbestos because of it. The house was built in 1955. We were at a loss and didn't know how to protect ourselves from the situation, we were not ready to spend 48k on the roof at all and would never have had them start if it was going to cost that much. I don't know if you can contact on here but feel free if you want more details

I have an 812sqft house and the installation of a new roof is a capital improvement project which I spent $20K. The work included the removal of attic insulation, attic disinfection, new insulation and new roofing materials. The crews cleaned up daily after each phase of the project. The closing of the project has not been handled professionally. There are 6 places where the wood is exposed to moisture due to the crews not sealing properly. I have reached out to Journey Builders for 2 weeks in hopes of getting this resolved. I keep getting the run around and at this point I’m filing a complaint with the State of California. Journey Builders prefers to have a complaint and lawsuit filed against them rather than fix finishing details that expose a roof to moisture. I have also been getting the run around when I asked for a tax receipt. I was charged for tax but they refuse to provide how much tax was collected.
