These guys are great! They did what they promised. The owner is a stand-up guy. He keeps his word. If I had to do it over again, I would call them.
After that Ernie began compiling information on the man and put together enough information for us to take the case to a lawyer that he recommend. The lawyer was able to get cooperation from the police and district attorney and together they intimidated the con man into thinking that he would spend the rest of his life in prison if he did not return the unspent portion of the money. He relented and returned $50,000.
IBRC was able to guide us through the process and do what we had been unable to do in the 2 months in which we tried to locate the con man and get him to return the money. I would highly recommend them to anyone else who may have an elder abuse case.
IBRC seems like a very ethical, professional and customer friendly agency and I'd recommend you contact them if you have the slightest idea their services may solve your problem.
In summary: Great experience with this group during a few phone calls to see if their services were warranted in my case.
My brother has disappeared suddenly in a difficult time of my life.
I tried to contact him, looking for him with the help of friends and anyone who can help me. I tried the police as a desperate measures and I managed to persuade a police officer to fill in a missing person report, which is very difficult to do from another country.
Unfortunately the detectives there besides the fact they did everything they could, rejected any further help. After a long conversation with them the detective agreed that I need help but he assured me that help can't be given with the police at that instance.
I asked him for an advice because I was very worried about my brother. The advice given was very good but a bit scary to take on board.
He sad and quot;At that time you can hire a private detective to find your brotherand quot;. I said - and quot; But how can I trust a person without seeing himand quot; - he said and quot; You've got to trust someone here - look on a websites and find some retired detectives or something like thatand quot;. And the conversation finished.
Without even thinking I gave it a go and started looking on the websites for private investigators. There was quite a bit of a choice and very confusing - who do you trust... difficult question?!
I.B.R.C. INVESTIGATIONS BY RETIRED COPS were the only ones that caught my eye. What they had on their website was the feeling of authority and professionalism.
I dialled the number and I was very happy to talk to detective Rodney Vahoviak. The conversation wasn't easy for me but I had to tell him the whole truth... that is how it works for me.
I have been given very professional explanation how everything works with their company and the authority, the knowledge and the law applied didn't even make me feel that I can't trust these people.
The time passed and the investigation rolled over. My case was assigned to another professional (voice only to me but a real person) - Bill Martin.
And again there was that good feeling that this is the company I should trust. I don't want to talk about what happened next because that is not my point, but what I would like to say here is: Sometimes we fall into situations where there is no other way but to trust someone blindly as I did. And despite the fact that money gets on the way sometimes we need to make the right choices and give the task to the professionals and leave it with them.
If I had to do that again I would do it - with the same company, the same people because they know what they are doing and they are doing it the right way.
I do not want this to sound like an advert or anything like that but I'm really happy I've meet them and I know that if I need any further help I can trust that they are the people to do the job for me.
My story as most is a complicated one however, I will try and simplify. Shortly after my engagement I became suspicious of my fiancand eacute; being unfaithful. It started with a few phone calls and unexplained time gaps here and there. Of course, all questions and concerns that I arose were treated as and quot;paranoiaand quot; or me not being happy in my own life. Business trips out of state soon followed and my concerns grew. As our wedding day drew nearer and I began to think of the responsibility that I was about to take on, I decided to put my fears and insecurities aside and look for a private investigator.
After speaking with Rod the first time I knew that he was my guy. Other investigators I spoke with were either, cold, unprofessional, or impersonal/robotic. Everyone at IBRC were always professional and personable. All of my anxieties were laid to rest the moment we began. I felt like I finally had someone on my side, looking out for my best interests. When the actual investigation started I was amazed and the amount of information that was amassed. Being out of state was no issue for me because with the communication I received I felt like I could put the entire case together in my mind from my computer and or phone.
In the end my suspicions were confirmed and I found out that while legitimately on business, my ex was using every spare moment to spend with someone else. Some information that was also uncovered had led us to believe that this was possibly not a first time affair. I decided however not to pursue any more. It's the kind of information that is always hard to hear but I would call IBRC 10 times out of 10 and pay 2, no, 3 times as much for what I was able to uncover. It saved me years of heartache ....and probably tens of thousands in the long run. I learned that either way after hiring IBRC I was going to have and quot;peace of mindand quot;.
Thank You Rod.........your services are truly invaluable.
Overall, our family couldn't be happier with the evidence Mr. Vahoviak and his IBRC team of investigators provided as a service :) OUTSTANDING is how we rate IBRC !!!!.
Mr. Rod Vahoviak held our hands from the beginning to the end. From the first call, he was prompt, courteous, professional, and compassionate. Ours was a difficult, and emotionally draining case. He took all the time we needed to explain to us in detail, the ''realities' of each part of the process. We needed really good evidence, and WE GOT IT !!! My soon to be ex-.......in-law'' was falsely claiming disability , for many months, just to avoid paying child and spousal support. Mr. Vahoviak patiently took the time to set up new surveillances, gave updates, and offered insights every step of the way. His team of investigators showed up promtply, on time, set up, stayed hidden, and got the evidence, as my soon-ex....in -law was completely unaware he was being watched. Mr. Vahoviak carefully chose specific investigators for specific needs. The investigators wore hidden video cameras in their hats, shirts, belt buckles, etc., etc. One of my favorites is: my soon-ex...in-law'' was walking, running, jogging, (on DISABILITY) right in front of the investigators, and was completely unaware there was a video camera RIGHT BEHIND HIM. Because of Mr. Vahoviak's kind, compassionate, and professional manner, it made the whole, emotionally upsetting experience so much easier to go through. He's an angel, and ANYONE LUCKY ENOUGH to hire this DREAM team is getting the best their is.... I have no doubt whatsoever.
OUR ENTIRE FAMILY WOULD DEFINITELY USE Rod And his amazing DREAM TEAM of Retired Investigator Cops again !!! It's a DREAM TEAM during a most difficult time.
Retired Cops was able to track down the person that had scammed my
Mother, retrieve the money he received and assisted us in filing a
police report on the person who did this.
