Installation => Failed completely; Sales => Below Average. Answering how it went requires a long review. 1. First visit - could not start the installation since the water supply line they had was too short. Could not wait for me to run down and get a longer one => Schedule new install for 9-days later. 2. Second visit - everything ready to go for the installation and discover the dishwasher had been severely damaged before it was unpacked. Schedule replacement dishwasher and another installation attempt => next available appointment 15-days later. 3. Third visit - rude delivery drivers pick up damaged unit and drop-off new unit. They have no installation instructions. => next available appointment for install (after call to customer service) is 5-days later. 4. Forth visit - installers inspect everything and conclude they cannot install the dishwasher due to policy -- note that second visit installers did not have the same problem. Recommendation from installers: call a plumber to do it; get a refund from Home Depot. Called Saddleback Plumbing and they had someone out 2-days after my call, they showed up on time and installed the dishwasher for only $80 more than Home Depot charged. My suggestion is that you can buy your appliance anywhere and hire someone specializing in that work or do it yourself. Save the hassle of getting drones who are rude and don't have the necessary skills or items to do the installation.

The service was a good price, very discounted price. They delivered on time and installed the dishwasher, and they took away the old one.

To my mind there wasn't any problems or anything and everything went smoothly.

I have 2 air conditioners. One of them went out. They came out right away and followed through and repaired the old conditioner but told me it was not likely to last very long because it was running too hot. It was just too old and it needed replacement. They were excellent there. However, then they sent out a representative to check his work and he said I needed a whole new unit and new ducting and old ducting was asbestos. Which it wasn't. And I needed a new heater unit and I should go with one big unit and that would cost $22,000.00 I was kind of stunned. They were really nice people. They were very pleasant, they were not high pressure but I didn't appreciate that they really didn't consider the situation. I think he actually lied about the asbestos.

The one the had was too big for me, but the customer service was excellent.

They were fine. I don't remember any problems at all. The price was cheap. They just walked in and did it.

They did excellent. We just happened to be on the store and I seen some carpet and I like so I didn't pick him of your list to do it. We just do a lot of business with them. My daughter's boyfriend knew somebody that sold floring wholesale and so we bought the flooring and we were very pleased with the flooring and Home Depot did installed it and did a beautiful job. Everybody else wanted $1400 for it and when the guys come and put the carpeting in we weren't here and my daughter said them do you guys do extra work on the side or anything and they said we charge the same thing that we would and because we are doing flooring for you and that is what they charged me. It was little cheaper and we were happy. They were punctual. I have no complaints with them. I would continue to use them again in the future.

The machine I rented from Home Depot didn't work very well, so they gave me half off the rental price. They're willing to work with you, if you communicate that your equipment wasn't working well.

The Flooring team worked with us as we changed our minds several times about the flooring and never expressed irritation.

The installation team Pedro and Juan were on time, with their tools in hand. They knew exactly what to do and finished on time. I had a retired independent professional flooring contractor inspect the job after installation was completed - I am not, and most people are not, qualified to judge a contractor's work. He said their work was really good. The flooring manager from Home Depot also came by when the job was near completion to inspect. He seemed extremely knowledgeable about flooring and installation.

I had three bids. Two were independent contractors from Angie's List, and the Home Depot bid. The two independents appeared competent and I am sure either would have done a good job. But one seemed to want me to use his supplier of materials (we wanted a special look and only Home Depot had product with that look), and the other handed me a bid that said only 'Install flooring' in a Workmanlike manner (not a Journeymanlike manner).

Home Depot's written bid was extensively itemized so we knew exactly what items we were ordering (it was special order). And bid itemized the labor of each part of the job (Install underlayment - # of sq ft, Cost per sq ft, total cost, Install flooring ....., Install Baseboards... etc).

I choose Home Depot because of their detail in the quote, their responses to my questions, and the fact that there is some corporate support to back up the work. Getting satisfaction from an independent contractor can be a nightmare if the job is not done right. Angie's List helps since you can get other peoples opinions about a contractor. That helps narrow the list of potential contractors. But if the job goes bad, and almost any job can go bad, you are still on your own. Good Luck. But having a major company behind the contractor is a plus in my mind. If there is any disagreement a call to corporate HQ will at least get a management review.

The one issue was with the measuring company (MeasureComp). They did over measure (by more than 20% - 10% is standard). But we returned the excess material and Home Depot credited us back the full amount even though the material was special order. In hind sight they probably were correct in over measuring since if we were short any material, it would have taken 10 days to get the material needed.

Home Depot Alhambra did not have the unit in stock. Their computer said they had a few, but there were none on the shelf. They were very nice when I called, though, and told me the stock number for the fixture I wanted. The plan was to just call other Home Depots until I could find the unit. Home Depot Monrovia has one of those ''press 8 for the lighting department'' phone systems. I went through it a couple times, because nobody PICKED UP in the lighting department, and I got ''accidentally'' hung up on. Twice. Home Depot Glendale actually answered their phone. Then they put me on hold. Except it wasn't exactly ''hold'', it was more like they just set the phone down, 'cause I could hear them talking in the background. FOREVER. They never picked up again. I hung up and I called back again. Finally got someone who told me the computer said they had a couple, but wouldn't take the time to check the shelf. Burbank answered the phone, checked the shelf and had the light.
