We used FHS for a remodel project that involved a room addition, an ADU conversion, and an outdoors room (covered concrete patio). The business owner Ferdy has built a team of talented and hardworking professionals who delivered on a rather complex project with a lot of details. Our house is more than 100 years old and FHS was attentive to our requests in ensuring that the new construction would integrate the existing structure seamlessly. Of all the people on the FHS team, in addition to Ferdy, we interacted with Elias, Antonio, Henry, and Gelson the most. Elias was the project manager, and he was patient, poised, responsive, polite, and organized. He was very flexible in adapting his project management workflow to our needs. Elias was particularly adept at cultivating a good working relationship with inspectors from day 1. Antonio and Henry could handle almost any task you threw at them: framing, plumbing, electrical, concrete, you name it! Antonio was particularly good at tasks that required attention to fine details while Henry was excellent at handling large and complex structures. Gelson had an artistic eye for painting, staining, moldings, and anything that went into the finishing touches. In every construction project, there are times when things go according to plan, and times when problems arise. Whenever a problem occurred, the FHS team was responsive, found a solution, and implemented it effectively. Ferdy’s excellent team at FHS is augmented by a network of specialist subcontractors that can handle anything a house needs including tiles, stucco, concrete pour, flooring, railing, cabinetry, etc. All-in-all, FHS is a very capable and professional business whether you’re remodeling an existing structure or building a house from scratch.

After a complete interior renovation, I fully recommend Ferdy and the FHS Construction crew. They are highly professional and extremely pleasant to work with. When change orders came up, Ferdy was very fair in his quotes for extra work and I appreciated that he was creative with finding solutions as we needed them. Elias was our project manager and he was always available to meet with us and ensure everything was moving forward. The crew did a total renovation - from down to the studs to new hvac/plumbing to kitchen cabinets to exterior concrete and new stucco finish - FHS could do it all and do it very reasonably. FHS was also great at working with my pool contractor and I appreciated the extra collaboration at no charge. The house came out exactly as I wanted it and I am so grateful to Ferdy and his crew for their hard work!

The project took a total of 7 weeks to complete. We were amazed by how fast these workers were able to make progress. Our bathroom now is a pleasure to look at and use.

From my first meeting with Ferdy & his team I knew I wanted to hire FHS for my renovation job. I did my homework tho & met with other contractor but it was a waste of time- so how you don’t have to! My renovation included a complete kitchen, half bath, LR/DR combo from floor to ceiling. Each & every person on Ferdy’s team were professional craftsmen. I definitely recommend FHS.

We could not be happier with our bathroom that went from small, UGLY and not utilized efficiently to a gorgeous spacious space for us to enjoy! Ferdy, Ivan and their team helped us go from a small pedestal sink to a double sink and a much bigger shower without moving a wall. They had so many alternative solutions to spacing issues we had and I just couldn’t be happier. They were reliable, always on time and communicated with us frequently. After purchasing a condo with no washer & dryer, FHS helped retrofit an existing closet to hold a washer dryer. This included expanding the closet, building an interior wall, running plumbing & electrical, venting out the side of the building, and painting. They also ran electrical in the ceiling to allow for pendant lights in multiple rooms. Ferdy, Elias, and Irvin were all great to work. They are knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and were patient in answering all of my questions. I highly recommend FHS and would use them again in the future.

FHS painted the exterior of our house and built a new front porch and front yard gate to match. They also knocked out part of an interior load-bearing wall and installed a really cool looking metal frame, and built us a custom banquette to match our existing kitchen cabinets. Ferdy, Elias, and Irvin were great to work with and very responsive to questions / concerns. Their team of workman and craftsmen also did great work and were very professional. Competitive prices, very good workmanship - overall a pretty stress-free experience. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again in future.

FHS agreed to do a mix of exterior work for us while we were going to be on an extended visit with family. A major reason we chose FHS to do this work was their willingness to communicate and the overall respectful and professional tenor in all communications leading up to the project. Ferdy and Elias were our main two contacts and they were always reachable and friendly. FHS delivered on all things within their control, did excellent work, and followed up on every single touch up, patch, cleaning need, and anything else we found after the completion of the bulk of the work. They were transparent about costs and clearly do not cut corners but rather accurately price the quality of the work. The main concern we had with a contractor was communication and accessibility (as all horror stories suggest) and we had a great experience especially in that regard with FHS. Highly recommend.

We can’t say enough good things about FHS Construction Inc. We’re so grateful to find Ferdy and his team! When we first met Ferdy, his attitude and professionalism really stood out. Him and his team were always friendly and respectful. Given that we’re in the middle of a pandemic, they always wore their masks. We were initially looking for a contractor to remodel our garage. We were so happy with the results that we also asked them to build an art studio, a project we were considering in the future. FHS was great at working as a team, and bringing my vision to life. Ferdy presented different ideas and explained the pros and cons of each. We appreciated how they were always communicative about where we are in the process and what’s going on. And also, always available for questions! We’ve worked with other contractors in the past and there’s no comparison! FHS is very professional and reliable. Also, Ferdy told us what the price would be at the beginning and stated that price wouldn’t change unless something drastic came up. These days it’s hard to find a contractor that does nickel and dime you. He was true to his word. FHS did such a wonderful job with all of our projects, we couldn’t be happier! Ferdie and his team were great. Very communicative and polite. They came with creative ideas to support the vision I had for my deck. The results are great and I feel their pricing was very reasonable.

FHS did such a great job remodeling the master bathroom at our home in Burbank; so, when we got a fixer-upper condo in Oceanside, Ferdy, Elias, and their team were the first contractor we thought of to help us with the remodel. The condo had most of the original fixtures from the 80s and required a full facelift (see before and after pics). FHS replaced the floors and kitchen countertops, installed a new kitchen sink/faucet and new ceiling fans, and did a total remodel of the bathroom - replacing the old tub/shower with a new tiled shower. The best part about working with FHS again was knowing I could trust them to do quality work with little supervision. I told Elias what I wanted, gave him the keys, and let FHS do all the work in Oceanside while I worked from home in Burbank. The team always wore masks (remodel was during covid), kept the common areas clean (I received no complaints from our HOA), and finished the work right on schedule. We're so happy with the work and the family loves having a beautiful place by the beach!

We had a great experience working with FHS Construction on our garage renovation. Ferdy and his team made our first experience with home remodeling a very pleasant one. The communication was excellent and they made sure we were kept up to date throughout the entire project. We made a few changes along the way and they were quick to accommodate them and were very up front when it came to costs. We're very happy with the work they did and would highly recommend them for all renovation needs.

Ferdy and his team did an addition on our house and we could not be happier with the work or the experience. The process of construction is arduous by itself but Ferdy did everything he could to make it as smooth as possible. HIs bid was the clearest we received and the most reasonable. He came highly recommended by a friend. We found his communication both clear and very responsive (he always calls back within an hour or two). We have now lived in the remodel for almost a year and can attest to the quality of the work. Also, he has come back and addressed any small issues that have come up (all minor). His team is beyond capable. He goes the extra mile to find solutions. For example, we had issues the the AC sub that were really hard to troubleshoot but Ferdy went the extra mile to make sure it was done right. He is also just a kind and generous person which makes working with him really a pleasure. He took the time to explain things to us as it was all new. He is also unflappable, which helps in his business. We just can't recommend them highly enough. We did a second project, a small remodel after the addition, and without any hesitation hired them again. We have recommended them to many friends as well.

Ferdy and his team completely remodeled our master bathroom and installed hardwood floors throughout the house. Communication was superb -- very fast and clear. The job was finished timely and on budget. Any issues that arose were promptly resolved. It was a pleasure working with FHS.

Working with the FHS Constuction team was a pleasure from beginning to end. I received a timely quote, work started as scheduled and Ferdy kept the project progressing until completion. The workmanship was excellent, communication was on going and everyone was respectful. The result is a fantastic bathroom for my family and guests to enjoy.
