Atlantis Pavingstone Co

Selfishly, I hate to tell everyone how good Atlantis is because that means Harry and his team will start to get too busy for me! Still, that's the beauty of Angie's List: People telling other people about what's good and what's bad, and Atlantis is exceptionally good. Harry, the owner, showed up as scheduled, for the bid, sent the bid promptly, showed up for the work as promised, and does a beautiful job (Mario is an artist and pleasure to have around). I really like Harry and his honesty. He takes great pride in doing the job right and I feel lucky to have found Atlantis.

It all went well. We had a small miscommunication on the scope of the work, but all was resolved amicably. The quality and schedule for the work was great.

Our old driveway was next to several trees that are 50+ years old. Harry was the only contractor we spoke with who was willing to work with us and our arborist to make sure the tree roots weren't damaged when the old driveway was taken out. Overall, he made very practical suggestions about design and function, clearly based on a lot of experience. The costs for any changes or additional work that we requested were exactly what he quoted, even though one involved more effort than expected. The work turned out very well and still looks great a year later. The only negative was that the job start was delayed and took longer than expected. (Also, not much written documentation of things like change orders and other paperwork.) But, overall: honest, high integrity, and great work at a reasonable price.

I got a quote from Harry who is owner of Atlantis Pavingstone for replacement of my concrete driveway after I saw the pavingstone driveway he installed for my neighbor who highly recommended him. I received quotes from 2 other companies, but Atlantis Pavingstone's price was much more reasonable and we were happy with the quality of Harry's jobs so we selected him..
Harry spent time to help us find the right pavingstones, color and design for our home. We also visited two of his jobs to get ideas and see his work. Our job started the day and time that was committed to us and we were kept informed of day to day activities and progress as the work continued. We were impressed with Harry's attention to detail and quality as well as his commitment to have us satisfied with the the job in every aspect. The new driveway turned out beautiful and we feel we received top quality work and a very reasonable price.

I got several estimates and chose Atlantis because Atlantis' prices were comparable to another quote and I had I good feeling about Harry's intention to make the project look as good as possible. About half of our backyard and both sides of the house had to be excavated to a suitable depth. They piled the dirt neatly and took away about half of it, the remainder I wanted to fill the rest of the backyard. They carefully prepared the ground with sand and compaction. They used the pavingstones that we selected. I had wanted some curvatures in the pavingstone, which Harry's crew accomodated and did a very nice job with. The job took about 5 days longer than expected but I am very satisfied because the finished product looks terrific and the price was exactly as agreed.

Atlantis did a wonderful job and at a very competitive price. I got several bids from the usual suspects (the big advertisers) and couple smaller companies. Harry (the owner) was very knowledgeable, easy to work with and did more for less than the other companies. His crew arrived on the first day and completed the demolition that day. The crew demonstrated the utmost in professionalism, hard work and attention to detail throughout the job. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day and were courteous to our neighbors. We had the new driveway and walkway made wider so some sprinklers had to be moved which they did. They checked for leaks and repaired them. As unusual as it may seam, Harry and his crew actually take pride in their work. The result is a work of art and absolutely beautiful. We continue to gain the admiration of our neighbors and friends.

Great. I got the estimate and they started and finished on time as they had estimated. The owner is great he inspects all the work to make sure everything is done correctly. He is a hands on owner which is great for the customer. I was clearly impressed with the work they did and will recommend for everyone to consider to hire them for any work.
