Because of their workload it took a couple of weeks to get them out, but the leak diagnosis and repair was done on a timely basis. I would use them again.

When you think your swimming pool is leaking water, you panic!
I called 2 different leak detection companies.  With the first company, I was told that a technician would not come out if the leak was less than a quarter of an inch per day.  So I called American Leak Detection for a second opinion.  I specifically asked if they "can detect any amount of water leak", as opposed to requiring a minimum like the first company I called.  She did not say anything about a minimum amount of water loss before a technician was to come out, and was actually very eager to send a technician out.  She spent no time explaining the technique they planned to use to detect the amount of leak, or mentioning that sometimes water loss through evaporation occurs.  Instead, she said she would send a technician out that same day.
A technician named Andy came out and I was far from happy with his work.  He did start out by testing the plumbing and pipes, but I lost more confidence in his competency when he didn't have any answers to some of my questions.  For example, there were suspicious brown stains in one of the PVC outlets, which I wondered was a sign of a cracked PVC pipe.  He had no explanation for the brown stains, and like I said, didn't seem to know what was going on.  When Andy left, his diagnosis was that there was no leak.  However, I am confident that there is a leak as I continue to have to refill my pool on a frequent basis.  To make matters worse, Andy was so sloppy in his work, that he did not put the screws in the grill at the deep end back completely after he removed the grill to check for a leak.  Because the screw is protruding out, it tore up my Kreepy Krawly pool vacuum!  I called American Leak Detection back, spoke to someone named Guy about my complaints, and to this day I STILL have not heard back from the company with a follow-up.
In the end, I still paid the bill for the "work" even though it was sub-par at best.  Potential customers beware!  Make sure your pool leak is more than a quarter of an inch per day before you call American Leak Detection to come out and waste your time and money.  Needless to say, American Leak Detection is not a reputable company for detecting your pool leak.

They are thorough and they had a very well sustained report of what the problem was. The price was about right. It wasn't too cheap but the service was on par with the price.

ALD (Tech Daniel) came out to test the plumbing system system for the spa. Six 2and quot; supply and return lines as well as the plumbing in the spa itself were tested. Initially no leak was detected. The lines were pressure tested to 15 psi but there was no lose in pressure. Thus the water level was marked and the pumps turned off in order to isolate the source of the leak. The leak persisted at the same rate so a secondary investigation was performed and a leak between the skimmer and the spa itself was detected (a fairly common leak I was lead to believe). The leak was sealed using foam and epoxy and a two year guarantee was given. To date the leak has stopped giving me piece of mind. I was concerned with the long term effect of the loss of water could do the spa itself or the landscaping and oak trees surrounding the spa. There was also a concern that I could never leave the home for an extended period of time (vacation) and leave the filtering pump on. The pump would have eventually run dry hence damaging the pumps.
Daniel and the office personnel were courteous and profession. They were prompt and competent. ALD spent around 5 hours in or around the spa determining the location of the leak and repairing it. The cost seemed expensive, but I have no other experience with other companies to judge the fairness of the price, but I was satisfied with the work and the expense was well explained before work was begun. I would certainly use ALD again.

They were on time. Daniel could not have been more professional. He seemed to know exactly what he was doing. He was really good. He also said there was a guarantee that if I had any more leakage and if was a spot that he fixed he would fix it for free. He did this about two weeks ago and it has been fine. I called the company after he left and told them how great, professional, and on time he was. I was very pleased.
