From start to finish, John was there to help.  When an Architect was needed for drawing up plans, he was there with us. If he felt the Architect was adding items in the project that would cost more, John would question him as to why it was added.  If it was not necessary, John would tell us as to why it was not necessary.  His interaction during this process was valuable and saved me unnecessary cost.
When he started the project, he was early and would work late.  At the end of each day he would clean up the work area, to make it look as clean as it was when he arrived.  John has an eye for perfection and makes sure each aspect of the project is completed to his satisfaction.  If he was not satisfied with something, he would tell me.  He would then explain a different way of doing it and let me make the decision.  If the decision was to change the original plan, he would not add additional fees to the project.  I cannot remember all the little things that he fixed while working even though it was not his responsibility.  Each time he did this, I found his suggestions were better.   I found his advice helpful and his vision of the project amazing.  He has good judgment of what looks good and would enhance the look of the final product.  We felt completely comfortable with his work and felt very lucky to have found him.
We could not believe how beautiful the addition was, and how the add on looked like it had always been a part of the house.  The craftsmanship was beyond what I thought was possible and was acknowledged by my neighbors.

I couldn't have had a better experience. I called many contractors on Angie's list, all ones with reviews and I hadn't reached anyone.  I called Whisner, even though there were not any reports or pictures of work. When I called, I got voicemail. I didn't leave a message because so far my search was not going the way I wanted. I wanted contractors to come out that day or set up appointments to give me bids. When I got Whisner Constructions voicemailI I just hung up.

About 10 minutes later I got a call from John Whisner. I was surprised he was calling me back, but I let him know what I was looking for. He said that he was booked all day (it was a saturday) but that he could come over first thing the next day. I agreed He was on time, I told him what I was looking for, he took measurements and notes and gave me places to go to look for the materials I wanted.

When I finally picked the stone, I told him about it and he immediately went to the place, made sure it would work, took exact measurements and placed the order for me. He called me back later to give me all the info. He even got a discount for us.

He said it would take three days. He started on Wednesday 8/24/11 and was completed by Friday 3pm (just in time for my big party on the following day). He kept everything clean, cleaned up after himself everyday and the finished product was quality work. I can not say enough about him and I will definitely use his services again.
