They did a diagnostic test on it and found an issue and they did a tune up then it was fine. The service was very good.

Extremely satisfied with the unit and installation. Shalom had between 3 to 4 guys doing the installation which took approximately 3 days because we moved the unit from the garage to the attic. The installation team was extremely professional and knowledeable. Jose who is the owner of the company gave me the quote and never felt pressured in going with them. His demeanor and honesty is what sold me in going with Shalom. The city inspector mentioned that the installation was one the better ones that he's seen and was impressed with the quality of work. If you are looking for a company that you can trust, I would highly recommend Shalom.

Everything went well. This is the second time I have used Shalom, they are friendly and efficient.

We knew we had AC problems when it stopped blowing cold air on a very hot evening in July. After suffering through a sweltering night we knew we had to find someone to come to our aid in a hurry. After attempting to call a few"highly rated agencies" only to be met by a few highly rated answering machines, we happened upon (Shalom Heating & Air) a family operated local company which we are proud to support. Our call was answered promptly and with the kind assistance of Blanca, we were able to setup an afternoon appointment for the very same day. I am sure they were very busy nevertheless and in the middle of a very busy schedule owner and operator Jose received the message that we were in trouble and let us know he would be taking a detour so he could stop by and check on us. Within minutes of his arrival Jose was able to diagnose the problem (a blown fuse) and provide us with the required repair. He let us know that our equipment though aged, was still running at capacity, and informed us what to be on the look out for in the future. He was very efficient, honest in his assessment, and very very affordable. He explained all our options and never pushed any unneeded service as our system was still in good condition. As an added bonus we had researched smart thermostats on our own, and we were ready to make an upgrade from our antiquated device that kept our compressor running all day long. Jose was more than happy to provide us with personal testimony and technical details of various models finally helping us choose a model that would be simple and efficient. My ac unit wasn't producing cold air.  The initial diagnosis was a failed capacitor, which looked to be in bad shape.  However, in the process of making the repair, a more serious problem was discovered.  The technician explained why he could not see the more serious problem initially and what the options were now that the more serious problem was discovered.  The best option was to replace the unit.  I believe the price to replace the unit was quite fair.  The ac unit is now performing better than ever.  I appreciate the detailed explanations I received of the problems and the options.  I believe the quality and promptness of service I received were excellent.

Shalom was able to schedule an appointment for the next day and quickly troubleshot the problem (broken thermostat). He also quickly identified some other concerns with the system to keep in mind and provided various solutions at various price points and was not pushy at all about trying to sell me on it right then and there.

We interviewed a number of air conditioning companies before choosing Shalom Heating & Air and we are thankful that we even found Jose!
Before he was entirely completed with our job (due to remodel and add on construction) we had recommended him to a few of our friends who had also interviewed dozens of companies.

Jose and his helper we're courtesy and professional. He took his time to explain what could have made the noise and the cost of repairs.

Joe checked every component. He went in the attic and inspected the components (I had already replaced the filter the previous month) , he cleaned out the return register (which was VERY dusty); he checked each room vent; he went outside and measured the pressure of the coolant.
This company is HIGHLY recommended. I previously used a different company that promises "one day installation" and had nothing but problems with their install, their workmanship, and their overall business practices.
Joe is a pleasure to work with and I've recommended him to many of my friends and family.
