It went much better than anticipated! Tony Goelz was very professional, tidy and quick. My roofing job was done much earlier than planned. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We live 20 miles outside of town. He was the only one who would come and do the work out there. He was fair, on time and gave us a fair price. He replaced some plywood on the roof caused by the swamp cooler leaking, replaced 2 sections of the eaves, one from a tree falling and one from the water damage, and replaced the gutters on both sides of the house. I am very happy with the work. He was courteous, and kept me informed of the progress of the work. I would recommend him to anyone needing roof repair/replacement.

Tony and his team were very professional. They did the work on the days we agreed to and at the price agreed to. They kept me informed as to progress. If they were going to be late one day, they called well in advance to let me know. I was very satisfied. If you're looking for something cheap, they probably are not the people you want. If you're looking for professional, reliable work at a reasonable cost, I think they are the people you want.

Tony Goelz and his crew did an excellent job installing the and quot;heavyand quot; hand split cedar shakes
on my cabin. The finished roof is beautiful and the installation is a art form in its self.
They thoroughly cleaned up after and the whole project went smoothly.

He was able to come quickly and do the job fast and clean. His clean up was amazing to watch. We waited for the first big rain and all was well.
I told a neighbor about him..... she used him a few months ago and was very pleased with his work.
I have lived hear in Paradise for 15 years. Every handyman I have hired did such poor work that I had to hire another and quot;handyman' to clean up the mess the first one made......
I am so happy that I can trust anyone that you would list....... I finally found an excellent fellow to keep my water system running and running correctly. I haven't seen him listed on your list.... so I won't list him on mine until I OK it with him. A good ten years went by with people who had no idea or no interest in doing a good job..... I hit them all.

He was a very nice guy and did a very good job. I am waiting for it to rain to see if it is really is as good as it looks. It was excellent. He did it in a day in a half, the time he said he would. He cleaned up the whole area and stuff that wasn't his.

Four years after new roof, severe water stains in wall and roof in gues room, 2007. Extra caulk applied in roof flashing. February 2009 ceiling in guest room had accumulated water, failed, and large section fell to floor. Water and insulation widespread and furniture underneath had to be repaired. Goelz came, said they THINK the roof is OK now, but I'm dreading the next heavy rains.

"As the owner of Goelz Bros. Roofing I take great pride in my work. As with all roofing companies in this region the standard workmanship warranty is 5 years. This member had no problems during this time,five winters. When her leak occurred it was actually past the five year period, but I made repairs at no cost to her and believed she was satisfied.Also when her leak occurred it was during a severe winter snow storm witch was followed by a warm rain that rapidly melted the snow and caused a water back up on the roof causing the leak, not a workmanship defect.This being said I believe I went above and beyond my responsibilities to her and at my own expense."

Everything was satisfactory, at first. Approximately four years later both my sister's and my roof leaked. The leakage in her roof caused her guest bedroom ceiling to cave in. Our leakage caused ripples in the drywall in our living room and wet spots in that area. My sister called the company. Tony responded quickly, inspected and located the leakage area, and patched, I guess, that area with mastic or whatever they use for that purpose. Her damage happened within the 5-year guarantee period, so there was no additional cost for her. Our damage was over the 5-year guarantee period, but Tony did come and inspect ours, also, and patched, for no cost. We have not had significant rain since that work was done, so we don't know for sure if the leaks were fixed.; we're holding our breath, as it took a couple of rainy seasons for the leakage problem to cause damage to that extent.We'll find that out, for sure, this winter. If our roofs still leak, we'll ask another company to come out and re-roof the area(s) necessary to fix the problem. Both Goelz brothers are professional, competitively priced, and personable, and my sister and I would regret causing them any problems which, being a small company, they don't need, but we would both hesitate to recommend them to friends, based on our experience.

"I deeply regret the fact that both This member and Mrs. Roman (sisters) would not recommend me to others, however I am confused. Both state in their own words that when called, I responded quickly, inspected the roof and repaired the area that leaked, at no charge to them even though the 5 year warranty period had run out. Both leaks were not caused by faulty installation but rather a severe winter storm combined with piled up leaves and pine needles allowed to accumulate on the roof by the home owners.This is not to say that I have never made an error witch caused a leak, in this trade it is inevitable. I have always made it a priority to stand behind my work and remedy any problem promptly and with courtesy and understanding to the customer . As in this case ,many times I will fix a problem at my own expense even when the warranty has expired because I truly care about my clients and my good name. Due to these facts I do not believe the poor reviews are deserved."

Tony Goelz responded quickly to my request for an estimate - and though his paperwork wasn't high-tech, he himself was very professional and personable. As his was the lowest bid (from a contractor whose state license was in good standing) he got the job and arranged to start in just a few days - after he secured the permit. August is very hot here in Oroville, CA, so Tony and his helper were here each morning between 6 and 6:30 - leaving by 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
