Job was successful.   As an after thought, can't understand why the plumber doesn't carry all the equipment needed to do the job within the first call.   Did he need an assistant to remove the toilet?   Provided disinfectant and rags for his cleanup.   Very satisfied with how clean he left the bathroom.    Will definitely use SF Plumbing again.

Was quoted $134 an hour for the plumber and $77/hr for his helper.

I would say that SF Plumbing is amateur and doesn't listen to the customer.We had them out in July and in September for the same issue. On both requests I requested a power jet as I have had this problem before. The first time I was denied the power jet and dismissed as if I did not know what I was talking about. I told the guy that snaking the drain is a temporary fix and that he would be back. Sure enough he was back 2 months later for the same problem. This time he brought a mini power jet even though I asked for the industrial one b/c again I have had this problem in the past. He was not successful in getting the smaller power jet to work so he again snaked it. BUT 3 days later while we were on vacation the bathroom flooded and leaked into the retail space below us causing major damage and also ruined our hardwood floors outside the bathroom. A sewage company had to come out and clear the line as well as suck out the water and moisture for 4 days. They claim to specialize in sewage repair but clearly they don't know what they're doing.

2 plumbers came within the timeframe quoted. One got out to look at the job, He said he could not move the dryer, because he
did not have a dolly. I asked my neighbor if she had one, and she said this is very easy to move and I will help him, because he stated
if he had to have his partner to help him, he would have to charge me double.
The dryer was located under the stairwell and he needed to climb behind the dryer to disconnect. He then stated that he had claustrophobia but my neighbor stated that he must have been in more difficult spaces - being a plumber. She then had to hand
him his tools so he could do the  disconnecting of the pipe, move the dryer forward and my neighbor moved the dryer, but I will say he did help to push it the short distance. This whole thing lasted about 10 minutes, and I must say my neighbor did most of the 
work.  I will say that he was very polite and friendly.
I contacted SF Plumbing in writing on 9-14 stating the same as above, but I had no response. I did mention to them that 
prior to writing a report on Angie's list I would like for them to respond.
I have had no response whatsoever.
I did not have a complaint about the price, as this was quoted to me beforehand, however I expected some expertise here
and since they sent 2 men, they both could have done the job in 5 minutes, rather than the 10 minutes it took.
I will never use this company again.

Their prices are always very reasonable. I have always been pleased with their work.

The plumber was 30 minutes late for the estimate appointment and was able to provide the time estimate (30 minutes) but not the cost - "You'll have to call the office for that."
I called the office later that day to schedule the replacement appointment. We agreed that the plumber would be there from 11:30 to 1pm in two days.  This worked nicely with my lunch break.
On the appointed day the plumber didn't show up as expected at 11:30. At 12:15 I called the office, I was (hungry) quite irritated and especially annoyed when they said that the time 11:30 to 1pm was the "start of the appointment window"  not the duration of the actual appointment.  I came close to firing them right then.  Instead they wisely put me on hold which gave me some time to calm down. The plumber arrived at 12:45 and finished at 1:05 - a 20 minute job. Why they can't schedule a specific appointment window for a project with a known duration is a mystery.
The plumber was actually very good, very quick and quite professional. Now that I know how they work I would hire them again, but anyone else using them should understand that the office did not communicate clearly.  I still don't know how much I owe them. They said they would bill me, but have not yet done so.

I had a plugged up shower drain in the second bathroom..  The SF Plumber snaked out the drain and removed several hair clumps.  He also saw that the tub drain in the main bathroom was clogged also,  He fixed that rather quickly.  I showed him that the shower drain was also leaking water into the basement.  He determined that a new shower pan was needed, and that I would need a subcontractor tile guy to do that work.  He said that his company could recommend a tile guy that would replace the shower pan and that the SF Plumbing Company would work with the tile guy to complete all of the work in about a week.  He said that I should call the office to get the tile guy's number.  Then make an appointment with the tile guy to get an estimate.  If acceptable, then SF Plumbing Company with the tile guy would coordinate the work.  He thought that the complete job might take about a week.  SF Plumber was very professional, and worked quickly to unplug the drain.

They came when they said they would come, analyzed the problem and gave me multiple choices on what to do, and I picked one of the choices they offered. They did some quick maneuvering and managed to fix it back that very day, which was very important. They did not really have everything that they needed to have, but they checked around to find what they needed so that they could do it on that day, and I thought that was going the extra mile. I don’t think I have received the bill from them yet. I have used them before and would use them again in the future if necessary; I have had other plumbers here before, and after I found them, I have never used anybody else.

Came out on a Sunday to give me an estimate and returned on Monday to perform the work

It was actually my neighbor’s problem and they paid the bill and it was running over my property. My property part was very small and they didn’t have to do any work on my property. I have used them in the past as well. They are very prompt, very reliable and their prices are little more reasonable than another company that I have used. Water and sewage was coming down and I wasn’t clear whether it was from my property or my neighbor’s property and when they looked at it, they found that it was from my neighbor’s property. Further evaluation and determination was done. The thing that I liked about them is that they are reliable and they are on time. Their quality of work is good and they let me know what they are doing. They showed me exactly where the block was in the sewer and they tell me everything that they need to do.

Excellent. I've used SF Plumbing for years, but just joined angies list. They deserve high praise for their work, professionalism, prices, and service.

They were able to deal with the maintenance issues that I had. We have a lot of high end faucets in our house and we had to owner come out; he knew exactly what to do because he was very knowledgeable about the high end faucets. They are very professional, responsive, and they have a lot of knowledge. I haven’t received an invoice yet so I don’t know about their price.

Work was completed without a hitch. I guess they could have been a bit cleaner (tracked some mud through parts of house), but I should have asked for that at the time.

They are the best.

They were excellent and were here on time. They gave me a written estimate and explained everything that they were going to do. I did try another company but that company was terrible. So the price charged by San Francisco Plumbing was a lot less than that other company. The people who came out were very nice to work with. I am disabled and so they did things that were really needed to be done. They did a very nice job. They came back to repair it when I wanted something done afterwards. They also sent me a thank you card for using their services. They were great and they have been in business for a long time. So I would use them again.

They seemed competent. Overall I was happy with them.

It took them a couple days. They were certified, and they did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves and finished on time.

They are really good. My clients generally like them. I am a real estate agent and I use a lot of people to get the work done. They are reliable and good.

These guys were recommended to me by a local architect who uses them on all his projects. They did excellent work, scheduled me in very quickly, and were delightful to work with. I highly recommend them. Very professional.

Great! Excellent service, reliability and dependability. Everyone that I spoke with at the company was courteous and helpful. The workmen arrived on time, finished on schedule and cleaned up before they left.
