J Style at Home

Provided excellent solutions to problems we had with our existing kitchen. Obviously they have a lot of experience with kitchens. They demonstrated excellent workmanship and completed our project in a timely fashion. We are very happy with results.

Review J styles was recommended by a friend of ours since we knew nothing about a full remodel kitchen design. After researching various options we decided to work with this family run, well established home design company. Designer and co-owner Janina Cabrera listened to our goals and color scheme and presented very well conceived plans that were within our budget and design ideas. The entire process from beginning to a timely finish was executed attractively by J styles who crafted beautiful, well made cabinets in addition to all the other remodeling elements that were executed by teams of highly skilled personnel throughout the entire construction. The crew was very respectful of our house which was appreciated since we both work at home. Each team delivered consistent results and responded appropriately when any minor repairs needed to be addressed. Janina is very responsive to any questions or concerns and her professional and friendly receptive attitude put us at ease and we felt confident working with this group.

Janina made our newbie kitchen remodel easy and painless. She had great ideas and suggestions. I would do business with J Style for my next remodel project.

I am highly recommending JStyle At Home for anybody who needs good designer and a project manager for their Home Renovation needs. She takes full responsibility for the whole project and delivers the result. Her perfect designers taste combined with deep understanding of the homes style and with listening carefully to your own suggestions delivers a very good final result. Just do not forget that you need to be heavily involved in the whole project execution to receive exactly what you want.

great job done right the first time.

We contracted with J-Style for 3 simultaneous projects during a broader re-model for our home: a 14' built-in custom desk/bookcase in our master bedroom, a built-in desk in a loft area, and electronics cabinetry in our family room below our TV. The materials, cabinetry, fit, and finish are superb. I really like the look, and the installers were quick, efficient, courteous, and professional. However, if you want something unusual, I recommend you find an alternate vendor. For the cabinetry around the TV, I had a number of unusual requests in order to provide for cooling of the equipment and filtering of the airflow. In addition, one of the cabinets was going to contain a cat-box, so I needed a door and flap built-in to the main door to the cabinet. These unusual requests proved too much for the team to accomplish even after numerous clarifications, adjustments to the drawings, and discussions with the installers. Overall, it seems that the team has serious challenges with communication both among themselves, and with the customer. If you're working with a skilled contractor to provide oversight, or have relatively straight forward requirements, they're probably fine, but if you need to work with them directly, expect to go over details with them repeatedly, and review their quotes and draft designs with an eye to every single detail that's important to you.

I thought she was very thorough. Gave us a price which was very good, & said that was everthing, but then we started to hear about, this isn't included, the stone guy would be extra, ect. & she was no longer a deal . By now, we're already into it.

I hired Christian and Janina for the refacing. They are very nice to deal with. I'm now waiting for the cabinets to come in , I will write a review when the project is completed, so far so good.

I liked the team of Cristian, Oscar, and Abraham right away. They were professional and courteous. They designed built in shelves in a bedroom closet. Abraham was a perfectionist builder. Shelves look beautiful. I would definitely call them again.

I had walnut bookshelves installed in my condo. They are just beautiful. I was particularly impressed with how quickly my order was filled.

Janna has excellent taste. She was great at helping me pick out tiles and bathroom accessories. She recommended an excellent contractor. And she kept me informed during the bathroom remodel. I was so happy with her work that I hired her to help with the remodel of the living room and dining room fireplaces.

Janina was instrumental in my taking the leap to remodel our kitchen. She made it sound so easy. She told us where to go for this and that and even went with us to help make decisions. Could have used more communications into the project but we didn't use a contractor which might be the missing link. We didn't know we needed one. The kitchen turned out perfect. Lovely cabinets and workmanship. We are completely happy with the end results.

JStyle and the staff are experts in their craft of Kitchen. The company designer and cabinet makers and workers know the business and we highly recommend them. We are so please with the designer work and cabinet work; we will use their company on our bathroom. The kitchen looks better than any Home and Garden Kitchen photo!!!

Jania and Cristian are great to work with! We've used them for several projects including a kitchen and bath remodel, and some other cabinetry work. They are very good space planners and design consultants, and their work is top notch. We've had a five year working relationship with them and would highly recommend them.

Unbelievable value with an extremely high-quality look for a great price. If you want custom cabinets, Janina is the way to go! She has been amazing and has been patient with us every step along the way. I highly recommend her and will post again once our project is complete.

Jania and her team of cabinet makers are fantastic! We used them to remodel our kitchen in 1997 and they did a great job. Jania did the design and really went out of her way to give us both a functional and beautiful space. She went above and beyond, helping us with paint color, fixtures, appliances, etc. To this day, we walk into our kitchen and LOVE it! So, when we were looking for someone to help with our large garage remodel earlier this year, with 2 new bathrooms and built-ins throughout, we contacted Jania immediately. She is just as passionate as we remember her and always a pleasure to work with. And their prices are good too!

From the very beginning we were impressed with Jania's ability to listen to both our needs, wants, likes and dislikes. She listened to my husband and me very carefully and put together a plan/design that suited both of our needs. Her crew was always on time and very professional. Their cabinets are beautiful, well made, and we love them! Without a doubt we would hire them again to do another project.

Ms. Cabrera apparently thought she knew better to what the owners wanted, than to what the owners were telling her that they wanted. There were several errors in the building of the cabinets, necessitating a complete reconstruction of one of the largest cabinets (entirely built by Ms Cabrera's in house cabinet shop). The workmanship was inconsistant at best. The Contractor she recommended did not have the adequate expertise, and fortunately we chose another and more experience craftman/contractor. I would not recommend using J Style at Home, or Ms. Cabrera for your kitchen design, nor wuould I recommend her cabinet shop for cabinets>

Jania has been a pleasure to work with. She is very professional and very creative. Her designs are very good. She redesigned our kitchen and we also buying cabinets from her. We have not seen cabinets yet, but I am quite sure they will be of the highest quality.
