"Her final bill went down by $189.50? So obviously she is a liar. She asked to replace her timer and do other work as well. So some of the materials went up as we're not going to donate and install things for free when the customers add things on. This is copied and pasted from her email (I am happy with the team on the ground. They did a great job) So to give 1 star across the board is just do to me insisting that she doesn't cheat us on the final bill. Had I gave in and allowed her to succeed at her crooked attempt to cheat us she wouldn't have written this review. There were only a few plants on her job and half the plants went into her pots. There was nothing to design just to select a few plants which we helped her with. Her job was $2,000.00 and we gave her guidance but she was mad because she had to spend a little time discussing her project. So guess she is just too lazy to spend a little time to discuss her project. Unfortunately there are bad people in the world, some are contractors and some are the customers that want to short pay the bill and make up a bunch of false claims to try and cheat you. Most people only write reviews when they're unhappy unfortunately. She had a deadline to have the job done within 2 weeks so she was rushing us and pushing us. Very poor planning and lack of common sense on her part. Who waits until the last minute to hire someone if they have a deadline? We met her deadline and she said the guys did a great job, the bill was less than expected. What kind of person gets mad just because they have to give input on their own project? What an appalling liar to say someone could get a higher bill than expected when her bill went down, what a disgraceful human being. So she wants to complain about the one item that went up but not what went down. These are copied and pasted from her final invoice. Decreased quantity of 5 gal. plants from 9 to 1. (-$544.00) > Added 1 5 gal spec plants. (+$185.00) I would take a $544.00 credit over $185.00 increase anytime, so there's the truth. The job was done in half a day and she was showering my staff with compliments and saying what a great job we did."
"The client was directing my guys and micro managing the whole project and never told us she was unhappy."
"This review was before the job was done? We never take a down payment, it's called a deposit and given this job was only $2,000.00 that would me a $200.00 deposit. On the drawing or design we are happy to do one if the client pays for it. But usually on such a small job we would not suggest paying $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 for a design when the job itself is only $2,000.00"
"Most people with an IQ over 50 will realize that if you add work it cost more. We explained to this person that concrete may crack. We had 2 shrinkage cracks. Her boyfriend or her took a hammer and chisel and tried to make the cracks appear worse. If the end product was horrible why pay? Another lie. She complimented my crew all the way through the project. We even sent her a material refund after the job was finished. The Contractors Board said her complaint was not legitimate her complaint was dismissed with prejudice not to be reopened. I don't belong to the BBB as they have no jurisdiction over Contractors, it is a waste of time."
"We said that concrete may crack when it drys at the start of the project. He was unhappy with a couple minor cracks.I guess some people will never be happy. But our reviews speak for themselves. We also did a fire pit, Travertine patio, stucco retaining walls, remodeled his outdoor kitchen, planting, that all turned out great! I also took a few customers by to look at the job after completion. They said it looked outstanding! I don't use the BBB as when responding to this persons complaint I was hacked by somone using there e-mail and lost my computer to a virus. The Contractors Board has jurisdiction, this is where legitimate complaints are filed"
