McCurley's was very patient with me when I visited the store on multiple occasions because I had a hard time deciding on the carpet and tile I wanted. They allowed me to take home tile samples to assist in my decision making. Then they came out to my house to give me an estimate for the carpet and tile installation. They measured the space with a laser-type machine, so the measurements were very accurate. The materials came in sooner than anticipated, so they were able to come out for the installation about a week before planned which worked out very well for me. They removed the old tile and installed the new within a day. Once the tile had cured, they came back out to install the carpet. They removed all the waste and were very friendly during the whole job. I was very impressed.

For the first job, our experience with McCurley's for that job was exceptional. They were very patient with us during the preparation phase. We had to bring our new baby with us when sampling, and they were fine with that extra level of choas. One of the women in the shop even gave us a bouncy chair that she no longer needed!. They didn't mind us taking home several samples, it was a pleasure dealing with the office staff. Eric came out, measured and worked with us on the quote and some special details around doing a border along the walls. The installation was also very easy. The workmen in the house were very respectful and worked with some of our limiations (like I had to have access to the fridge at all times in order to manage life with a baby. The finished product looks great. The product is qualtiy and the installation was also done very well. They finished on time and overally, it really went well.
The carpet project didn't go quite as well. We still had the positive experience with the office staff selecting and pricing our solution. But they were 2 days late on the installation, then, the day of the installation, they sent their workers on another job, which delayed them arriving at our house. They were still nice to deal with, yet the work seemed rushed. It didn't help that the factory sent damaged goods that almost cuased another delay. The end product looks and feels great. They did ding the walls during the installation (I attibute this to the rush they appeared to be in) and I've got to go back an spot paint which is annoying. They didn't do any wall damage the 1st time - but I realized the walls downstairs are light colored and any cips would be nearly unnoticible, where as we have dark colors on the 2nd floor which made the little dings quite pronounced.
In the end, the little frustrations I had with the 2nd installation will be forgotten as I really enjoy the overall result.
We'll be using them again when we replace the rest of the carpet upstairs. The quality and service they showed on the 1st round far surpassed some of the hiccups we had on the 2nd. I would bet we'd get the same good service the next time we hire them.

My report is about the San Ramon office. This is the second time that I have used the services of McCurley's Flooring. The first entailed the installation of commercial grade laminate flooring in approximately 1500 square feet of our home. That was over 10 years ago and the floor still looks superb. In fact, a friend of mine who is a perfectionist builder has remarked more than once that this installation is the only one that he's ever seen that he would give perfect marks. I finally decided to do the 2nd floor and found that the experience was equally satisfying.

I first went to the office and spoke to one of the managers, someone I had done business with before. He educated me on the advances made in laminate flooring since my last purchase. He also made recommendations based upon my needs and requirement that a close match be made in color from my last purchase. I was sent home with lots of samples to play with. He also directed me to their Concord office to get more samples.

When I finally decided on a product (ah, the indecision!) it was ordered. Molding was also ordered at this time. I offered to purchase the trim paint because I'm such a stickler for color matching.

Installation was promptly scheduled and the crew kept to it.

Sure, there were a few small glitches along the way, but that is to be expected with such large projects. One is that the lady that answers the phone at the San Ramon office made errors when I would leave messages . As she is quite elderly, I found myself forgiving the mistakes. Also, the first crew that came to do the work wasn't a good match. A simple request was all it took to assign a new crew. They were excellent, from prep to final finishing. Also, the stock molding that was offered did not match the sample I submitted, but this was remedied as well.

I am very pleased with the new floor and would recommend McCurleys to others without reservation.

We decided on installing laminate downstairs, and in two of the upstairs bedrooms, and carpet on the stairs and upstairs hallway. We purchased the Mannington laminate from McCurley's, and planned on installing it ourselves. After we started the installation, we contact McCurley's and one of their installers came out and shared his secrets on how to better install the product, and the rest of the job went seamlessly. No issues @ all, and I'm very happy with the product. Carpet installation will be next.

MCCURLEY'S STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SELECTING TILE THAT WOULD MAKE A SMALL BATHROOM APPEAR BIGGER and WOULD COMPLIMENT THE REST OF THE HOUSE. THEY DID A GREAT JOB OF INSTALLING IT IN A TIMELY MANNER.
