Joe and his team were very busy, sometimes hard to get ahold of... but when it came time to do the work - it was outstanding. One morning a crew was here and had everything demoed and framed w/rebar by 5PM. A few days later they showed back up and the entire project was poured and paved perfectly. Joe was great to deal with and his team are top notch. They are *very* busy, so keep that in mind. I highly recommend Abacus and will be using them for all of my concrete projects in the future.

Explained the issue with the existing patio and walkway areas they were replacing and what they were going to do to prevent the separation from happening with the new patio and walkways areas. Esaias (Joe) and his crew were easy to work with. The project entailed walkway, steps and retaining wall at our front entry, which Joe managed to get formed up to the exact dimensions needed. Joe and I worked together to verify the design details, and made corrections as needed to get the end result we wanted. Very happy with the project.

I bought 5 bags of pebbles to be used on top of my colored concrete. They only used 4 bags. I asked to have the fifth bag returned to me so i could take it back for a refund. They promised to do so. But, did not.

Interlocking Pavers for Driveways & Floors - Install
When I first spoke to him he was up front, very professional and said his work is guaranteed. He installs the best concrete down, and I would be satisfied with the work, however, after the job was set and is done he was not true to his words. After 3 months I saw crack in my concrete and he would say that is not his fault, would not take responsibility.

"I'm sorry that you feel the reason your concrete cracked was my fault when I did everything we agreed to on the contract. What I said was that if I tried to patch the cracks that it would look worse because it would stand out because of the color. The other issue was that the cracks are normal hairline cracks and are not wide enough for anything to get through. I had already received a phone call from CSLB (California State Licensing Board) and I explain the situation and the lady from the board told me that this case is simply the fact that concrete does crack and can't be prevented and also she said that it should be common knowledge."

Mr. Piutau showed up promptly, gave a fair estimate, for a difficult problem area. I am extremely happy, 100%, with the creative solution that he came up with and the work that was professionally done. I'll be bringing the winning team back to do do somemore concrete work for me in the near future.

"While I would like to give Esaiasi Piutau a good review for his quick follow up and initial work on our driveway replacement, the concrete started cracking (hairline cracks) in two days and is continuing to crack... Esaiasi has said he would patch, but the repair would show more then the cracks, so at this time we will wait. Rebar was installed at about a 12" interval so overall the work should hold up.
