BEWARE all VPI does is deny claims and find reasons NOT to pay. I had been with them 7 years when my dog started having seizures. My most recent and quot;reimbursementand quot; check I got $0.04 that's right 4 CENTS!! The bill was almost $200 and they have the nerve to send me 4 cents!! WHY?? Oh they said I should have read the small print the cap for this disease is $167 A YEAR!!! What a joke! Find a Company that does not cap diseases!! They are out there and WAY better quality than VPI!!

VPI Pet Insurance I currently have them insured. I have had my pets insured with them for twelve years. Well you know anyone who has a pet will need pet insurance because you never know, you know, when something unexpectedly comes up. So that's why you know any questions you have they are right there. They have a hot line. I have had mine going on thirteen years. It will be thirteen years in November. I think their price is reasonable. I have one dog, I didn't have pet insurance for it right? Something came up I had to take her it was $2500. And I vowed to myself that the next pets that I get will have pet insurance. So yea, that's why. I have to give up for my little things so they keep theirs, I'll deal with hit. Customer service, like I said, there is a 1-800 number you can call anytime and they are there. Any questions you have they are there.

The customer service is great and their rates are in line with other insurance firms. I would recommend the to others.

I have used VPI Pet Insurance for many years. They have been very good. You pay the vet and file the claim and they pay you back. I haven't had any problems.

When I talked to them on the phone to set up the insurance I mentioned that I had taken my dog to get a bath and that the place that I took her had used some kind of shampoo on her that made her really itchy when she came home. I was not happy and took her somewhere else to get it redone and then she was fine. I never gave the conversation we had any consideration and thought we were just talking until I got the policy and in there it said, "Under exclusion atopic dermatitis." My reaction was that this was not atopic dermatitis, so I said since she doesn't have it I'm not going to worry about it and it was not like this was a big deal. I got the insurance in July of 2011 and the first time I sent in the claim for a small thing they paid in a timely fashion. My dog had a cyst on her hind quarter that came open and they took care of that and the antibiotics and it wasn't a problem. I took her in again to have a bath and a few days after that she started scratching her right ear. I took her to her regular doctor, but he couldn't see her and a new the new vet gave me medication to put inside and outside of her ear. The office said that they didn't have the information ready and were getting ready to close and told me that they would fill out the paperwork and fax it in for me. I thought that was nice, but I get back a denial of the claim from VPI saying it's not covered because of the exclusion of atopic dermatitis. I guess what this doctor had charted it as was otitis externa which is an outer ear infection, but it didn't make any sense because the reason that there are abrasions all over the flap of her ear was because she was trying to get to the inside. She's been shaking her head too and I know exactly what happened which was that she got water in her ear and when I saw the doctor the first thing he said to me when he looked in her ear was, "We got a swimmer her don't we?" That would be a middle ear infection otherwise he would not have given her medication to put inside of her ear if it was just the flaps that were a problem. I called the office and told them the problem and that the insurance rejected it. She told that she would check with the doctor and resubmit it, but they submitted it exactly the same way and they rejected it again. I need to go see her regular doctor and have him pull the chart because I don't quite know what to do. It never should have been an exclusion to start with because of an off the wall comment that I made, so I feel like I was tricked. The vet also put her on steroids and a wash and told me that she had a yeast infection. I did get to pick my price and my deductible, but I don't think they were very professional in the beginning.

We have been using them for over 15 years. We pay them a yearly fee. They are very responsive and no issues. Great customer service.

They are above average. Price is good and they're very professional. I will continue to use them.
