Everyone at Tekton was a dream team. Allison walked us through every step, helped choose materials and went with me to several suppliers even though this was a smallish concrete slab patio job. Both Allison and Roy really knew all the construction ins and outs to help us decide various elevation issues. The 4 man installation crew was phenomenal. They worked quickly, efficiently, and were amazing craftsmen. We are so happy with the finished product. I wish we had more jobs for them so we could work with them again!

Allison is a Godsend. She knows everything about our HOA, help choose materials, plant shopping. She gave us all the options. She even help us to get a house painter. She makes sure the project started on schedule and the crew work so hard and efficiently. All of these was done during COVID pandemic. It has been the most painless and exciting process for us. We used Tekton Group team for remodeling our backyard. It was a big project, but we are very happy with the end result. Allison listened to what we wanted, was professional and on time. Doug and his group were absolutely wonderful!!! Very professional, on-time, excellent quality of work. The site was always kept clean. If there was ever a question, Doug and his staff were very knowledgable and they bent over backwards locating some of the trees/plants I requested. We absolutely recommend hiring for landscaping jobs!!

We had communication issues between Tektons liaison, crew and us. The watering system wasn't designed properly for our variety of plants, i.e. trees, shrubs, container plants, succulents, blooming flowers etc. We had hoped for better results.

We would give this company a 10-star review! The completed backyard is fantastic! I love looking out my windows and seeing the beautiful design that came to life. The entire staff was very professional, showed up on time every day, and were very knowledgeable. We are so excited to be able to spend time in our awesome yard. Thanks to Doug and the entire staff.

My husband and I had numerous contractors come out and give us a quote on the work we needed done to the front of our home. The other contractors never came back or gave us a quote, any quote given was ridiculously priced and none of them had a vision. Doug from Tekton came out, completely professional and immediately saw the potential of our home. He was prompt and gave us an amazing rendering of our home with a totally reasonable quote. His crew worked quickly, cleanly and always took care of any changes we wanted or took notice to any concerns we had. I would definitely refer them to anyone looking to get landscaping/hardscape done. I was so happy to find Tekton. My husband is a contractor himself, that being said... he's extremely picky on who he lets work on our home and he had zero complaints about Tekton.

Doug Renfro was great to work with on our front and backyard design and project. He walked around with us and listened and came up with a design that met our needs and our style. In our next meeting we made some slight changes and set up a time to start the project. We removed all grass and put in a drought tolerant xeriscape design that looks great. Andres the project manager was terrific to work with and kept us in the loop for the entire project. If there were slight changes or issues Andres listened and followed through. Andres's crew who included Pablo, Danny, Edward, Pedro, and Jorge were wonderful. They worked very hard and long days and they were all extremely pleasant. Everyday was met with a good morning and a smile. I would (and have) recommend Tekton as a Landscape Designer and Installer.

I was looking for a landscape designer to completely re-do my backyard with a new look with low maintenance plants. I interviewed six different landscape companies and chose the Tekton Group. I originally spoke to Roy and he scheduled a meeting with Doug Renfro. We met with Doug and from the very start liked his demeanor, professionalism, sense of humor, knowledge of plants and concept design for the yard. He took pictures of the yard and scheduled another meeting to show us what he envisioned. We were elated with his concepts and the new look. His contract was very specific and specified what was to be done and was easy to understand. Andres was in charge of the oversight of the work crew. Danny, Fernando, and the rest of the crew showed up on time each day, worked efficiently, and cleaned up before leaving. Doug would periodically come by and check on the progress and answer any questions I may have had. My yard looks completely different with lighting, large rocks, decomposed granite, hardscape features and a variety of colorful but low maintenance plants. We love our new backyard and would not hesitate to recommend Tekton Group for your landscaping needs. It was an absolute pleasure working with Doug.

We had Tekton install pavers, planters, and sod in our back yard and landscaping in a portion of our front yard. In general, we are very happy with the hardscape work they did. It has enhanced the appearance and useablilty of our yard. After a year, we are less happy with the landscape work they did. First, the soil they brought in was very high in sodium and sulfur and low in nitrogen and we've had a difficult time getting things to grow. We have lost several of the plants in spite of doing our best to water and fertilize properly. After reviewing the Rainbird design information for the drip system they installed, I don't believe that the system was properly designed to deliver the amount of water needed by the plants. Also, we've had problems with the placement of some of the plants. We depended on them to advise types of plants and placement and we've ended up with plants that really don't look good together. In short, we were very happy with the hardscape but the landscape has been a problem.

Impressive project oversight by Ken and Andres of Tekton Group for our front yard xeriscape design. Communication was key and the project was completed sooner and faster than originally scheduled. Ken provided the design layout and worked with Andres’ crew to bring it to life. We are pleased with the final result. We anticipate much less water usage while maintaining our new xeriscape front yard.

Satisfied with the overall completed project, but it was a struggle to get there, and still have some unresolved issues. Poor communication and a failure to show up in a timely manner were a real problem.

We worked with Doug from Tekton who was very knowledgeable on how to address our landscaping needs, how to do it within our budget and was professional in all respects. He grasped our vision immediately, and created a specific plan of action. The contract was clear, specific and changes were confirmed in writing. The end result is stunning! Additionally, the work crews were friendly, timely, worked efficiently...and put up with our dog. Overall, Doug was fun, enthusiastic, and did an outstanding job. We would hire them again anytime.

I am amazed at my new backyard! Doug transformed an unusable space into a warm, inviting area for entertainment and relaxation. He and his team are all very professional and personable (and he has a great sense of humor!). I had a basic idea of what I wanted, but Doug's creative vision really brought it to life. The architectural drawing he did really impressed me. I interviewed and got quotes from five different landscape companies from HomeAdvisor, and I'm very glad I chose Tekton Group!

Loved working with Allison Driscoll in creating a nice design to bring my front yard back to life. She really listened to what we wanted and came back with a design that was just what we were looking for. She created a top notch drought tolerant front yard and Bob and his crew were very professional and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We never had to wonder where things stood on a day to day basis with our project. I recommend Allison and Tekton Group for your landscape and hardscape needs. Doug Renfro did a great low upkeep/drought resistant design for our front yard.

Doug Renfro provided excellent landscaping advice, tactfully pushing back when my own layman's landscaping ideas were in appropriate. Doug also led professional installation of all of his landscaping design elements on a timely basis. Finally, Doug consistently demonstrated a personable character, ensuring that the entire process was a pleasure. We would not hesitate to hire Doug again.

If you like beautiful low-maintenance Xeriscape (drought tolerant) then this is "definitely" a great company. Doug, who did our design was very friendly, honest, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about all plants and had great design ideas. They were very nice to work with and also did other things for us such as lighting, large rocks brought in, decomposed granite, and other hardscape features. Great work!!!!

Doug did a great job helping come up with a design we liked. From the removal of the pool to the installation of the new landscaping everyone involved did a great job. Andres and his crew were very efficient and hard workers. We love our new yard and would recommend Tekton group for your next project.

There was a lack of communication throughout the job. The landscape workers were told to cap off my existing sprinkler system. But I never told them I wanted that. The materials that were delivered and installed were not what I was originally promised. On the final day it was supposed to be finished, no one showed up and I wasted an entire day waiting for them. No one called me to say that they're running late or couldn't make it that day. It was only after I left a message stating that I wanted to cancel the installation of the boulders, that I received any communication from them.

My first contact was Roy. He was very congenial and scheduled a meeting with Doug to view my hillside right away. Doug laid out a plan to protect the integrity of my hillside. Andreas and his crew worked tirelessly to complete my hillside before the rains started. Once the plants on my hillside grow and spread, the hillside will look very beautiful. To my surprise, Andreas and his crew performed extra tasks in my backyard and front yard making my property look 100% better. I thank everyone for a job well done.
