When our A/C stopped blowing cool air on Saturday night of the heat wave Labor Day weekend, we panicked. We tried calling several A/C companies that supposedly had emergency service, but most didn't answer or didn't have any available appointments for a week or more. Fisher Air gave us an appointment for the next afternoon, and showed up when they said they would. Alan (the owner) diagnosed the issue with the capacitor in the condenser, replaced it with a heavier duty one that would last longer, and were back in business! Alan was really nice and professional. He really saved our weekend!

They're perfect. I've had them for 6 years now. I use them every 6 months. I pay them $300 to do my service both spring and fall. Fair price. Good people. They don't overcharge you. You can trust them. First impression was professional and clean. I've had 3 or 4 different service people but they come one at a time. It usually takes them about 2 hours to complete the service.

It went really well. They were punctual. The communication went very well. They answered all my questions. The work was done professionally and in great detail. They gave me good advice and I felt like they were thinking of my best interest. It is a small family owned business and they give great personal service. They have a great service plan as well.

Service is excellent. On time and very professional The technician Jason was excellent. I did buy the annual maintenance plan which covers 2 services a year, so I will have my A/C tuned up as well as the furnace. Kind of disappointing. The annual plan is about $ 18 more than if I scheduled 2 independent services. This gives you priority scheduling and a small discount on repairs. I find that to be a bad policy. My unit is 3 years old. We use it sparaingly, and I doubt we will need repairs other than maintenance. I guess i am protected against a cost increase. Still, the annual plan should provide a discount for maintenance services.

I called Fisher Air because they installed my unit and have serviced it in the past. I called them on Saturday and was informed that they charged an emergency fee of $100.00 onto the bill. I informed them it wasn't an emergency. He took my name & number and said someone would call be Monday to schedule an appointment. I have not received a call and its been over a week! This happened once before but I called them back and they apologized. Sorry, not this time! I found another here in town who is cheaper and wants my business.

It doesn't matter who they send out I don't have a problem with them entering my house. Whoever they send out, whether I know him or not, I just automatically feel at ease. Usually, when you're dealing with air conditioning and heating it's a huge expense but I don't. I really trust them. Their price is right on par.

Very professional. I had email contact with the owner prior to scheduling. He gave me some information about my Aprilaire 5000 and informed me about their service special. I originally found fisher Air on Aprilaire's website as an authorized service provider. I scheduled with the receptionist. She was very pleasant and professional. I was called the day prior to confirm the appointment. The technician Jason arrived on time. He was also very pleasant and very professional. The entire experience was a positive one.

They provided the most professional proposal of 5 companies. Most quoted the same price though one bid was lower but not very complete. At first I thought the price was too high since I picked Goodman equipment which is the lowest cost (about 40%of the total) and is available to purchase on the internet and they provide the most complete technical information to the public. Also it is manufactured in Texas in a huge plant so it must be reliable. I had the old a-coil mounted in the plenum which was difficult to remove. They did a very professional job of removing it and rebuilt the ducting very well. After seeing the work they had to do, I didn't think the price was too high. I picked a simple system with 80% furnace w/ single stage burners, 5 ton airflow, 4 speed fan, 4 ton 13 SEER, 1 stage AC condenser which had a scroll compressor. Don't need anything fancy in CA.

Forced air conditioning went out. Fan was blowing but no cold air. Called FisherAir at 4:00 PM and they arrived first thing in the morning. He checked out the unit completely and found a relief valve had tripped turning off compressor. He checked and found that the fan motor was drawing too many amps indicating the fan motor (when hot) probably ceased-up tripping the relief valve. Ran the unit for ten minutes and the motor began overheating and making noise. He had a new 1/3 HP motor on his truck, replaced it and the house was cool again. I've know the owner and son for many years. They are honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend them to friends and family.

Everything the owner promised came true. Air flow is much improved (especially in our bedrooms), the intake is quieter in the hallway outside our bedrooms, and we now have a dual zone system, which makes more sense for our split level home. We were so happy we signed up for the maintenance agreement. Workman were clean and professional and worked long days.

Initially, a friend of mine referred them to me, but when they came out to talk to me about what they had to offer, I looked them up on Angie's List, and they had decent ratings, and I was happy with that. I ended up hiring them, and they were outstanding. I have had nightmarish experiences with the installation of air conditioners in the past. They started the job on Monday and finished on Wednesday. They weren't the lowest bidder, but I got the best value for what they had to offer in terms of their warranties and product guarantees. I was even more impressed with their work ethic, the willingness to meet their commitments, their cleanup after the work and the quality of the job. It was a great experience, and I would rate them highly.

I got 6 estimates and FisherAir was the only company that took the time to measure my house and factor in windows and sun to determine size of condenser I needed. They also went in the attic and took photos that they showed me as proof that I needed new ducting. When the furnace they originally quoted was too large to fit in my closet, they upgraded the furnace at no charge. They have an promise of complete satisfaction and came back serveral times to fine tune the system to make it as quiet as possible. They were always either on time or called when delayed and rescheduled at my convenience. I had received lower quotes but am happy that I went with FisherAir because they did professional work, made sure I was satisfied, and will be around in the future to continue to support my system. As a family owned business staffed with family members and others, they are dedicated to quality.

I was having problems with my thermostat communicating my my AC/heating system. I first called them to explain the problem and an individual came as promised. He was prompt, pleasant, and clean (he put on shoe covers). After looking around a bit, he told me that the problem was likely the thermostat and he offered to put one in. I decided that this was something that I could do so I refused. I subesequently did put in a new thermostat but I continued to have problems. I called them back and they sent out a second individual who was also prompt, professional, and clean. However, he was much more thorough and told me that the problem was the circuit board and not the thermostat (which he confirmed I installed correctly). He admitted that the first guy did not look at this because it was in the attic. Of course, this would be much more expensive to fix, but I felt that I had no choice so I decided to do it. Fisher Air ordered the part and a few days later it arrived and I was able to have someone come in very quickly and have it fixed. So far, my AC has been working fine. My only complaint is the first individual incorrectly diagnosed the problem because he was not thorough enough (and maybe did not have enough experience). My cost for his visit was not refunded despite my spending even more money on a new thermostat that I did not need. So basically, the overall service was fine exept it shows that certain technicians are more experienced and thorough so it is sort of the luck of the draw.

The installation of the A/C unit was fine, but I did have a problem with Fisherair when they came out to fix the dislodged ducts. They crawled around the attic for a couple hours which didnt end up fixing the issue, they did however charge $690 for the visit which I felt was extremely excessive. When I attempted to bring the complaint to their attention they would not put Mr. Fisher on the phone. The gentleman I talked to wouldn't give me his name, and I requested a callback they never called me back to work on the issue.

"In reviewing the previous customer feedback here on Angie’s List, we were quite surprised after several superior ratings one of this negative nature was posted, especially 2 years after the job was completed. Our company has a 100% satisfaction guarantee, period. First of all, the owner of the company is open to each and every one of our customers. No employee at FisherAir is going to hide the owner nor refuse to give his name. His contact information is readily available from not only our website and phone menu, but through our employees as well. Alan, the owner has actually spoke with her and sold the new unit. As for the call back, we have documentation the residence was called 3 times but it was us that never received the callback. This had been a customer of ours for 3 years. We did an installation in 2006 which went fine, just as the customer said. We did maintenance in May 2007 and in May 2008. Everything was fine then as well. In June 2008, the customer called about the ducts. Since their ducts are not part of a normal maintenance, the customer called about having them fixed. In this 2 story condo/townhome, the attic is only 2 feet high; which is not your typical attic, this alone makes it a very limited access. We were able to connect the ducts and seal them and even repaired some wiring that had not been done by us. $365 was charged for a 7 hour visit, which was done over 2 days since the unvented attic was 150 degrees being in the month of June, which made it more labor intensive. We took care of the broken duct work and the customer even scheduled with us for 2009 until they canceled."
