John and Eric, are extremely professional, they clock in and out, hold specific work hours and are fully trustworthy.

John and his partner Erik are extremely conscientious and professional about their work. They do very high quality construction, are on time, and keep the worksite clean. John was very clear about the work to be done, and was diligent in reviewing the plans to be sure they were buildable before beginning work. He doesn't cut any corners, and always presents alternatives whenever a decision has to be made that may involve additional expense.

We used him for about 8 months. You can only think about in your dreams having someone that knows exactly what he is doing, tells you how to save money and doing it correctly, doing what you want and doing something that really won't pay for itself if you ever sell the home. This was a total remodel because the inside of the house used to be all custom redwood walls. I used him a three years prior for a couple minor jobs and I thought he had a lot of integrity. When he came in he said right away we needed to change out almost all the walls because wood is old and it is time to upgrade. If you are going to put a lot of money in it you want to invest it right. When he opened up all the walls we saw a lot of older wiring and he said it needed to be upgraded to meet with current codes. He and his master carpenter knew exactly what to do. Everything they did was like perfection. His cost was fair. Plus, when I finally used him I asked for references and he gave me over 40 references. My wife and I talked to multiple owners and everybody said that this is the guy you give the key to your house to. He made major changes to our home without changing the footprint to add some things like a forced air furnace. Our home is all open beam. It had a fireplace insert for heat and it had an old gas wall heater. I wanted to put in a forced air furnace and he figured out how to run all the ducting along the roof line insdie the open beam ceiling and then cover it with some of the original wood. They reused a lot of the wood from the house. Even when they did the exterior deck they rounded oout all the edges. We had a budget and he worked within the budget. He knew who to talk to locally for windows, a new heater system, where to go to get good plumbing, new cabinets. He drew up all the plans, did all the permitting. He knows how to communicate well with the county building people. If there was a way to save money to do it differently he would make suggestions. He listened to me and he listened my wife. His master carpenter does beautiful cabinetry work. We did a cement patio on the side with brickwork.

It was excellent. He does it efficiently and he does it well. He fixes anything and he gets here in a reasonable amount of time.

This man did a very good job of installing the windows. He replaced the dry rot with the appropriate wood trim that was recommended by the manufacturer. He would have finished the job earlier, but the distributor messed up our order.
