Orth Construction

We have nothing but great things to say about our experience with Orth Construction. The work done on our deck walkway was excellent, the pricing was was very reasonable and it was a real pleasure doing business with them. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Jim is not only a master contractor, he has an eye and passion for beauty, design, and function as a whole package. His attention to detail is second to none. The subcontractors and assistants he coordinates (no small feat) do high quality work and are good to have around--friendly, hard working, thoughtful and competent. Barb, who runs the show :), is a quick and efficient communicator. We know we are in great hands with this team.

Jim and his crew essentially rebuilt our older home. It was a difficult job with many unforeseen aspects. He did an amazing job. His attention to detail, knowledge of all aspects of reconstruction and tireless determination to do the right thing was incredible and very much appreciated. I recommend him without reservation.

We needed a contractor to over see the soundproofing project in the ceiling for our downstairs condo in Mammoth. We heard the horror stories of contractors in the Mammoth area who work on THEIR own schedules of getting things done. Jim showed up EXACTLY ON TIME for the first meeting we had and continued to be on time and kept in close communication with us through the project. Project was done before the time frame we needed it done which again is unheard of in Mammoth. We were allowed to do some of the work ourselves which helped keep costs down. Would not hesitate to use Jim again for another project if needed!! Ron S.

Jim was very thorough and professional about his approach to my repair. He offered excellent suggestions and his approach to detail and care about both the beauty and quality of the finished work was much appreciated.

I hired Jim Orth Construction and Design to remodel the Kitchen and Bathroom at a vacation rental property in June Lake. It was a difficult project due to the fact that it is a old house and repairs were neglected for many years.. This project had a deadline and Jim worked 7 days a week to finish the job.. Jim commuciated with me thru all phases.. What I was most impressed with was he went out of he's way to do the little things that I know most would ignore.. He has allot of integrity and does the most Beautiful work .. And I have now hired him for other projects!!!

In addition to the 2 bathroom remodels, Jim tiled our kitchen/dining room floor and suggested a few improvements we didn't think of ourselves - very happy with the overall results. Very strong work ethic.

It was a complete bath remodel. Your app wouldn't let me change it. Excellent job.!! Will use Orth construction again.

Jim, working with others, installed granite countertops in three bathrooms, installed light and water fixtures, sinks, and a toilet, and re-tiled two showers. He also installed a granite countertop in my kitchen as well as a travertine black splash. Work quality and communication were EXCELLENT and TIMELY. Afterwards, the house was neat and clean, thanks in part to his wife Barbara. This makes the third job that Jim has done for me. I will likely have him replace the floor tile in two bathrooms. You can count on fine workmanship and dependability from Orth Construction.

Jim, Barbara, and their team did an absolutely amazing job! They actually made our vacation home remodel an enjoyable experience. Because of the distance, my husband and I were unable to view the remodel process, but Jim and Barbara's regular communications kept us informed every step of the way and at ease. I am extremely picky, and when I first walked in the door I was blown away. Everything was as I had imagined and more. Not only that, the remodel was finished on time and on budget. I would only trust Jim to do any future work on our home.

They had to work within a limited budget and did the best job possible under restrictive circumstances. What was very impressive was their communication, follow up and timeliness. He and his crew were exemplary. They well exceded our expectations, they were there every step of the way.

Thanks to Jim and Barb Orth of Orth Construction and Design a house with 40 years of deferred maintenance became a real-estate jewel in just over two months. Starting first on the outside, all the scores of little problems were fixed and the entire outside was prepped and painted very attractively. The house had central heat and air conditioning for the first time in 25 years. By the time of the estate sale, the outside was wonderfully attractive (even resulting in an offer). After the estate sale they went to work on the inside, fixing 40 years of drywall damage and numerous other small problems. Jim has an exceptional eye for finding problems and knows how to fix them. Jim�s scrupulous photography let me see the final result in great detail even though I could not be there to see it in person. Working with Jim and Barb Orth (and with their highly-skilled subcontractors) was a true delight. I am highly pleased with their work and their work ethic.
