A longtime Groveland resident, Doug is honest, thorough, prompt, and forthcoming. He knows how to perform a variety of home improvement and repair services, and does them very well. The long list includes, but is not limited to: installed a new screen door; planted pine trees; replaced a dead car battery; rebuilt and replumbed a laundry room following a pipe breach; put in new hot water heater and upgraded closet to include a drain pan; replaced old light fixtures with new ones all over the house; and replaced worn smoke alarms.
If  he does not have the skills or knowledge to perform a service, he will tell you honestly. He is neat, cleans up, personable, and has helped me out at least twice with flooding disasters. When he buys parts, he provides the receipts. You will receive an itemized bill, too. This is not a "casual" operation; he and his wife, Lynette, treat this as a bona fide business.
The thing I appreciate most is that Doug will show you "what's wrong," and then explain his plan to fix it. I'm often amazed by the sheer variety of things he knows how to do.
