Jim Signor East West Design

Jim Signor (middle name Harris born 3/15/1963 Age 46 born in Texas) of East/West Design (company name could change)is a con man. I hired Jim (and his "partner" introduced to me as Samear) as a Design consultant to help me remodel my kitchen, powder room and office. He came highly recommended by good friends that had used him for their re model. To make a long story short I worked with Jim for about six months prior to our demolition buying all of our appliances, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, chairs & tables etc. Totaling over 52K. After demo when it was time to start receiving all of the goods and products I pre paid Jim in full for (because that was what he required and that is what my friends did with him) excuse after excuse for why nothing was showing up began. He did return my calls so I wouldn't be alerted. That was the crazy part. Meanwhile, all four vendors he hired to work in my house came knocking on my door because Jim had paid all of them with bad checks from a closed bank account. When I started calling all of the stores that he said he had bought my products from none of them had any record of him purchasing anything from them. At this point (unfortunately not before hiring him) I did a background check on him to find that he has one bankruptcy, one conviction of theft and five liens/judgments totally almost 100K against him. He has no assets or bank accounts in his name and is "un collectable". For six months he was cashing my checks and pocketing the money. He watched me demo my kitchen and put my life in chaos knowing that I have two small children and all of our lives were about to go to h***. The sad part is that it would end up costing me a ton of money to hire a lawyer to get a judgement against him and be number 6 in line to someone that has no documented assets. I am pursuing a criminal case with the District Attorneys office, but in the meantime I don't want anyone else to get conned. I have all corespondence, receipts of my payment to him and his background report verifying all the events described above.
