Jeff Henderson

Jeff was very personable and good at selling himself. Work began in late Aug 2011. We should have been immediately suspicious when we noticed that he liked to work on multiple areas simultaneously instead of focusing on 1 or 2 things before moving on to the next project. That was frustrating because some areas of our home were left unusable longer than they should have been.
A few more issues:

• - He had his teenage son and another young helper come in to do work.
• - He asked for "feeder" payments all during the project.
• - He was not good about showing up at the time promised, sometimes not even on days promised. (There always seemed to be some emergency reason for this.)
• - He regularly left early when he was here, frequently gone by the time we came home from work around 4:00pm.

- He did not do a good job cleaning up the dust and debris before leaving each day. Especially maddening before the weekend.
- He broke the base off a small side table, which he did re-attach, but now it's crooked.
All in all, the work dragged on for 3 months into Nov. We considered dismissing him multiple times, but had so many unfinished things at once, we couldn't figure out how to do this. In the end, he told us that he'd show up and do a full day's work the day before he was off for Thanksgiving vacation, and would come back after a couple weeks to finish up (at that point, there was probably 5% of the work left to do.) He didn't show up on that last day, and didn't return our calls. We decided we were done, and didn't try to call him again when we knew he was back in town. Guess it was mutual, because he didn't try calling us either.
One note... We are in Orange County, but he must have moved to Beverly Hills because that's what's listed here. But, I am positive that this is the same person, because the (949) 872-6251 phone is the same.
