Real Estate Service
My real estate agent’s email account was hacked, and the criminal used the information it contained as well as the ability to send emails from it to provide fraudulent wire instructions for my closing funds, resulting in a personal loss to me of nearly $60,000. I have repeatedly attempted to discuss the situation with Douglas Elliman, but their response has been to deny all responsibility for the data breach and the resulting loss. I strongly recommend against doing business with this firm.
