I went it to get hormone levels checked in preparation for pregnancy. She did about 1/2 of the recommended tests and never followed up with the second half. I also found that her communication with her staff was terrible. For example, she recommended a blood test and said the nurse would follow up. After the exam, I approached the nurse and mentioned the blood test. She had no idea what I was talking about. The doctor was with another patient, so I had to wait about 1/2 hour for the doctor to tell her nurse that I needed a blood test.
Once I became pregnant, my progesterone tested low and the doctor recommended I be put on synthetic progesterone. She said the nurse would follow up with the prescription. When the nurse never called, I called her and left countless messages. The nurse finally called back days later and said she didn't think it was urgent because it wasn't like I was pregnant or anything. I told her that I was pregnant, and the nurse said it wasn't listed in my records. I ended up losing that pregnancy and always wondered if the progesterone in a timelier manner would have prevented that loss.

When I found out I might be pregnant, I found Dr. Bhadauria from positive Yelp reviews. Later on, I discovered that two of my friends have gone to her as well.
Dr. Bhadauria is exactly the doctor I was looking for. She's very modest, can be a little soft-spoken, which I found to be calming during the pregnancy process and WONDERFUL in the delivery room. She's extremely knowledgable and always gave very sound advice to my questions during pregnancy. When I went into labor, Dr. Bhadauria stayed past the end of her shift to deliver my baby. I am eternally grateful to her for doing that. I had 2 hours of intense labor, and Dr. Bhadauria was a wonderful coach and provided supportive -- though very calm -- encouragement throughout it. I imagined childbirth would be a little embarrassing and I'd feel very vulnerable. I didn't want a doctor who would be loud or rush me, and she was exactly the calming influence I needed. My husband was in the delivery room helping, and he thought she was wonderful too. She also did a great job of instructing and leading the two nurses who helped with delivery.
I have to say that when going to an OB/GYN, you want someone who will be nice during appointments, but what's truly important is how they are in the delivery room, and you don't know what you're going to get until you're there. I thought Dr. Bhadauria was great during the appointments, but it is the fact that she helped me have such a wonderful birth experience that I truly appreciate.
Side note - as with any doctor, there's the chance the doctor won't be the one in the delivery room. It's a good idea to see others in the practice during pregnancy so that you're a little familiar with those who will fill in. I made appointments with Drs. Ushigome and Tsui and liked them too.

I had a great experience with this doctor. I was in and out within 15 minutes; they are very good about keeping their appointments. The people are efficient, friendly and overall were great through my whole pregnancy and the follow-up.

It was SO quick and efficient! Maybe I'm used to waiting 2-3 hours in a Planned Parenthood waiting room even with an appointment, but I was surprised that I had been called in before I had finished filling in my new patient forms! I think I was early, too.
Elinor Pullen came in soon after and she was the most PLEASANT person that has even done a pap smear on me. She was just so warm, friendly and had great self-effacing humor and made the whole process go by in a breeze! I was so surprised when she was done because I felt like the whole process barely took 5 minutes. She talked to me like a normal person through the whole thing and the most discomforting portions were over before I knew it.
And she CALLS all her patients after the results are in to let them know either way if the results are good or bad, which is a great relief and a nice deviation from Planned Parenthood's "No news is good news" that still leaves you confused afterwards. (On a side note, though, I still support PP and am happy for what they do for underprivileged women everywhere!!!) For her, "News is news" and my only regret was that I my voicemail picked up when she called because it would have been nice to thank her.

In general, I found that Dr. Lee was not really very proactive about my care. I had to be the one to do the research and make sure she ordered the tests I needed. Also, on one occasion, she actually had her theory wrong. Something she advised me to do didn't make sense, so I called Dr. Lewis from the same practice, and what she said was the exact opposite of what Dr. Lee had told me. Further research showed that Dr. Lewis was right, and had I just taken Dr. Lee's word for it, it would have been a potentially dangerous situation. I felt that in general, she was not very particular about empirical data and scientific process in a testing and evaluation situation. I'm sure she's just great with straightforward pregnancies where everything goes just the way her text book says it should.

We were upset and very worried because I had recently had a miscarriage. His response was to be dismissive and condescending. It seemed as if he was actually annoyed that we dared ask questions. He would interrupt me in the middle of my question and start to answer whatever he thought I was asking about. Of course, he assumed incorrectly, so I was just left confused because he was throwing all these statistics out at me which made no sense in the context of what I was asking about. Of course, he had no idea what i was asking about since I could never finish a sentence. I walked in there, looking for at least an explanation, if not a cure and I left very shaken and more upset than ever.

We've been with her for about 2 years and she is absolutely wonderful. She is very knowledegable, personable and always professional. We did lots of reference checks on her before working with her and she had wonderful references from all the Dr's we spoke with.

He is very friendly and personable. Most of the time nurses return your calls, but Dr. Brock always calls you back when you call.

Dr. Greig is warm and caring in person. Getting the office to return phone calls, however, was an increasing nightmare. After I found a lump in my breast and couldn't get them to call back, I switched OB/GYNs. (The lump was benign, thank goodness).
