Maria Sol said she was a licensed contractor with a bonded, licensed business. She stated she had experience in these types of repairs. This was not true. She has no contractor license. I contacted her about a shifting door way and floor. She brought in a man named Eric who was introduced as a licensed engineer to design the repair. She stated the house needed to be repaired 4-7" to level it. She hired Pascal to dig a long lengthwise trench under my house for a footing with stem forms and mud sill. She planned to place joists and jack up the house. I am not a house repair person so these may not be the proper terms. I paid her $3300 in cash for the work as it was done. I became concerned about her jacking up my house and had another contractor look at the work. He also was concerned about unnecessary work and danger to house and its foundation. The I asked her for her license and a written contract. She refused and left. She returned two days later when I was not home and removed her tools and things from my house such as jewelry. I asked her to leave and she refused. I called the police. She is states she is a licensed experienced contractor which she is not. She bids on jobs and starts work she is not qualified for. She says she is will charge less to help the homeowner out.
Description of Work: Attempted to repair shift in house flooring and doorway. Dug a trench under my house and placed frames for concrete wall.
