Their prices are high, but have a very excellent selection. I wasn't satisfied with their customer service. Every time I went, it was an hour or more for a transaction. They wanted to charge $200 for a restock fee to return the tile. They called it a special order, but it was in stock. They never called when it came in. I had to call them. I called at 2 and they didn't get back until 5:15 to say it was in stock. It was inconvenient and didn't like their follow thru.
Response from Import Tile Co

"(Member name removed), Import Tile gives our clients the option of a 20% restocking fee or a refund of the entire amount as a store credit. We have a wide variety of products that fit any budget from $1.99 a square feet to $40 a square foot. Our product selection changes often and I would hope you would consider shopping with us for your next project."

They did real good, excellent work. They were very thorough and very clean. They tidied after themselves. They were prompt. They delivered what they said they would give so it was very good. My job was very, very small so it all came to like $200. It was just a tiny space. The experience was excellent. I will highly recommend them for future jobs that I'll need. For price, for my space they're definitely an A.

I've used Import Tile to purchase tile at least six times, over a couple different projects. The selection is decent, but not great, the prices are very good, and in the store, the staff are good. I have had trouble getting them to call me when something gets in stock, or getting estimates for how long it would take before an item would come in. Those are the major factors that give it a "B" overall. Plus, they don't have a very large variety of tiles, so sometimes it's hard to find exactly what you want. But their prices make Import Tile a very good place to check out -- if they have something you like -- you probably won't get a better price on it. Oh, and btw, they do list their prices -- many tile shops don't and force you to work with a salesman -- makes browsing effectively very difficult.

These nice people walked me through buying tile for my bathroom. They were efficient when I needed it, but also patient and generous with their time when it came to working out a design. They had excellent design ideas as well. They also pointed me toward several tile setters. We chose one that they recommended, which helped because we got a discount on tile buying through him. By the way, I looked at other tile shops in town and didn't find anything close to affordable approximating my design. I happened to go with a cackle tile and it was impossible to find any crackle glaze in town that I could afford other than here. I was surprised at how much contact I would need with our tile supplier throughout the process--calculating square footage and price changes when an element changed, finding creative solutions for strange elements in the room such as corners--and they were always easy to find on the phone to discuss the nitty gritty details.
