FLOORING ALTERNATIVES

The materials and install were excellent - I am very happy with both of those.  It was the customer service that was a bit lacking.  The purchase went well, there were no issues there and the salesperson was very helpful.  I had to wait about 2 weeks to get an appointment which is understandable but not ideal.  And then the install got rescheduled last minute due to staffing issues which is unavoidable but again, not ideal.  It was the pre-installation period that was a bit annoying.  Because part of the job involved laying some flooring in my tenant's apartment, I needed advanced notice on how to prepare prior to install as I was informed that there were some pre-installation things that I needed to know or do and needed to coordinate with my tenant.  After contacting me several time about payment and after I made the payment, the person in charge of installation was very slow to respond or at other times did not respond at all to my inquiries regarding preparation.  This happened for both the original schedule and the reschedule so it felt like I had called and emailed a lot.  I was at a loss as to how simple customer service protocol of returning calls was missing from this small business which seemed to have so much else going for it.  In the end, there actually wasn't any preparation required but it was annoying thinking there was and that I needed to know and do something.
