Quick and professional.  I called for a quote on Monday evening.  Received quick call back from Richard and quote that evening.  Richard forwarded proof of insurance information as I requested.  Technician, Huv, arrived on time, very professional, did not try to over-sell.  Quickly replaced door springs, and also realigned mechanisms.  Work completed quickly and without fuss.  Work guaranteed for 1 year.

Called several other places and my remote for my garage door was not working. All the other places that I contacted wanted to sell me an entire garage door system. I had contacted Door Masters and after a 5 minute phone conversation, my garage door was fixed as I needed to press a button to unlock the system. They are incredibly honest, have real integrity, and have a lifelong customer now.

We are very pleased with the quality of the work. Jeff has the highest ethical values and will do everything within his reach to keep customers 100% satisfied. We have received many compliments from neighbors. They all love our garage door. It looks really sharp from the inside and from the outside. Staff is respectful and knowledgeable.
About a year and half after installation, we notice that the powder coating was peeling off one of the door sections. The door has lifetime warranty. First the manufacturer ships a replacement for the section with the issue. After Jeff's team swaps the section, we realize that the new section does not line up with the other ones due to the way the door is manufactured.
Jeff intercedes on our behalf and asks the door manufacturer to ship replacements for all three door sections. First, manufacturer is reluctant to do so. After many conversations, Jeff convinces the manufacturer to honor the warranty agreement and to ship us a new set of sections for free.
We are very happy about the way Jeff conducts business and highly recommend him. He keeps an eye on every detail.

Our garage door opener suddenly stopped working leaving us with one car in the garage and the other out. Called Econo-Doormaster and left a message. I got a call back within an hour and arranged for a technician to come out the next day. The technician arrived a few minutes before his scheduled time and quickly reattached the opener. He adjusted the opener, oiled all the moving parts and ran the system several times to make sure everything was working properly. Eric, the technician was personable and competent.

Opener was 18 years old and acting up. I tried to fix, but wasn't able to get it operating properly. I was willing to have it replaced. Over the phone Glenn seemed to think it might just need adjustment. He came promptly the next day and serviced it. I will certainly call them when it finally needs to be replaced.

Contractor came to view the garage in September and took measurements, provided an estimate and approx. schedule to custom build and for installation. This is an older garage and probably the original. We did not want a roll-up, sectional door preferring to keep the outside appearance of the door consistent with the original construction. I found Econo-Doormasters (aka J.W. Doormasters of the Peninsula) on a home improvements webpage for eichler homes, then searched Angie's List for reviews and info. Contractor responded to the phone call the next day and scheduled a review the following week. We made a $500 deposit on September 5th and work was started to build the door. Door was completed within the 4 week timeframe the contractor provided and installed on October 10th. Contractor arrived on-time, started the work and was finished in less than 4 hours. Contractor and one helper were professional, friendly and courteous and very efficient. They wasted no time. We painted the door to go with the new house color, as well. It looks great and is very easy to lift and use. Closes securely. The next door neighbor inquired about the contractor after seeing the finished product and will probably call for the same.

== Background ==
We recently moved in to our new (to us) house. Everything was going well when the garage door started acting up intermittently.
The previous owner pointed me at Econo-Doormasters. They had installed the door in 2012.
== A quick email and phone call ==
After a quick email go-round, I spoke to Jeff(?) on the phone. We scheduled a time for a tech to come out and look things over. It was nice to not have to wade thru an up-sell; just a simple: and quot;let's check things out and figure out the problem and go from there.and quot;
== The day of ==
We had arranged for a 1pm - 3pm arrival window. Micah, the tech was running late and called to let me know he was a probably going to show up closer to the end of the window. Later he called to say he was on his way. I did appreciate the courtesy and simple status update.
== The inspection ==
At this point I'm prepared to be up-sold on a bunch of replacement parts and ancillary services. I was pleasantly surprised that this did not happen. Actually, similar to the initial phone call, the tech recommended no new parts (ok, one part), or services, or pressure to use and quot;their systemand quot;. He looked things over, determined they were in good shape and did some simple maintenance.
== The maintenance ==
First he rebalanced the door by adjusting the coil spring tension. He had some very interesting tid-bits of information: like - how wood doors would be heavier in the winter (rain) and ighter in the summer (dry); and this affects the spring rate. Sounds plausible.
Next he reinforced and lubed the drive track; and lubed the rails and hinges. (Wow. A little grease made the door a whole lot quieter.)
The only part he recommended and replaced was the motor capacitor. Did I need that *right now*? Probably not. Do I feel taken advantage of? Not in the slightest.
###
All in all, I feel like I got a very fair deal. No pressure, knowledgeable, courteous staff. Ya: I'll be calling them back the next time I need something garage-door related.

They came to look at my door this morning and had an opening at 1:00 PM today. Glen arrived on time, knew exactly what the problem was and promptly fixed it. Very excellent service.

The first step was getting the estimate. The company representative was arrived almost exactly on the dot. I explained what I wanted (a new door, motor, etc.) and he got started on the estimate. It was clear he knew his product - the estimate took very little time. He asked me a few questions about options and showed me some samples on his iPad. I got an itemized estimate breaking down exactly what each component was and its cost - including disposal of the old door. Each 'upgrade' - windows on the door, a quieter motor - was indicated so I could see the base price vs what I wanted. The price was right about the middle of the range I expected. He left the written estimate with me so I could think it over.
After a day or two thinking it over, I called it to place the order. A reasonable deposit was required to order the door, but that's standard. They gave me a rough estimate of when they expected the door in and promised a call when it arrived.
After 2 weeks or so, they called to inform me that everything had arrived. They were able to schedule an install day within about a week at a time that fit my schedule. They asked me to clear enough space to work, which was easy to do with the advance notice.
The installer gave me a call as he was leaving the shop, giving me an estimate of when he would arrive. He arrived when promised and immediately began working. The install was done in a timely fashion. After it was over, he went over the basics of the system and gave me the owners manual. He even offered to install lightbulbs in the motor after I grabbed some spares from the closet!
The door comes with a 1 year warranty of parts and labor. I would recommend them to all my friends and neighbors for any services with their garage doors.

My garage door stopped working, and they were able to come out and look at it within two days. The opener needed to be replaced, and they were able to schedule that at a time that was convenient for me. Glen was prompt, very helpful and explained everything thoroughly. In addition to installing the opener, he also checked everything else and replaced some bolts. It turns out that my garage door is falling apart based on the fact that it is splitting at the seams, so Glen applied a temporary support to hold it together a little longer. I feel that the service was excellent and I am very satisfied with the work. I will call them again when I am ready for the new garage door.

The door broke on Sunday night, Dec. 30, trapping my car in the garage. I called Econo-Doormasters at 9:15 am on New Years' Eve (Dec. 31). They agreed to have a repair person there between 10:00 am and 11:00 am that day. Very fast response. He arrived at 10:01 am and had finished the job by 10:50 am. The repairman -- Jeff -- was very professional and appropriately communicative. He did the work quickly and efficiently, tested the opener multiple times, showed me what was done, answered my questions about how the repair process worked, collected the payment, and drove off. It was flawless.

They were installed on 12/7/12. They discovered that factory
sent the wrong color, white instead on the color we ordered. They had to install the white door because the
exiting was torn down and offered to the paint or replace the white door with
Adobe stone. We decided take white door.
We were very satisfied with the garage door and the
installation work

We called for an estimate for a new garage door. The estimator showed up one day before his appointment. No one was home so he called and left a message. When I returned the call I got his voicemail and I indicated that he was not expected until the next day. The following day I had to call the office to determine whether he would be coming to give us an estimate. He showed up and his quotation was higher than his competition. We ordered from his competition.

My garage door opener (which was supplied in 2005 by Econo Door) was not working. I called to have someone come out and service it. My call was immediately returned, and Richard asked me to describe the problem. When I did, he said it sounded like there was something triggering the safety sensor, preventing the door from closing. He gave me four suggestions of things to check on my own. Sure enough, the lens was covered with dust. I wiped it off with a Kleenex and the opener works perfectly. I was so grateful I didn't have to pay for a service call just to clean the lens!! I will definitely call them in the future for any problems or new products I need.

Installer was also punctual and experienced. He recommended small additional work to make the door work better (1965 roller bearings were wearing out, $100) and showed me how to do simple maintenance. Unfortunately I had to call him back to make a safety adjustment that should have been done at the initial installation. Nevertheless, installer was friendly and experienced even at the second visit.

These guys were great. I have a drop-down stair to the attic in the spot a regular mechanism would go, but they had a solution for me. Prompt, polite, clean, and local. What more could you ask for?

I was expecting the worst, but the Co came and fixed the garage door. There was no defective electronic parts, but a mechanical issues. They only charged me for the time, and perfectly tuned the garage door. Now the door has never been this quiet and open and close very quietly.
They performed an honest, prompt and fair service.
