I have been in business locally for 15 years have a keen sense for design and detail. My skills range from closet organizers, to appliance installation, specialty lighting, custom cabinets, bathrooms, to full blown remodeling. Too busy to consider my project or give me a bid. I respect their honesty but disappointed that a handyman service did not have the capacity to look at my project. Angie's List should have some way that service providers can take themselves off the "available for new projects" list so users would not make an effort to schedule for a bid.

I had Cosentino do some work for me when I first bought my house a few years back, and was very happy with him then, so when I had several small repairs (broken door knob, broken gate latch, etc) and some art I needed hung, I called him again, and am glad I did. He took care of everything quickly and well, including fixing a gate latch that other people had tried unsuccessfully to fix before. He also suggested an alternative to one task that would save me money. I definitely plan on hiring him again for repairs and handywork.

The work required connecting the thermostat wires to the electrical box that was in the wall. The work was done properly but the price was on the high end for the amount and type of work needed. Be prepared to pay for an astronomical price!

"Hi [Member Name Removed] I just saw your review , I remember tell you 200 dollars when you call me on the phone asking for installation of thermostat ,but after I saw the job I found someone did some work before, and the towel rack was installed. Parking lot is far from your apartment and I need to go and come many times to bring different tolls because the original from factory was missing ,any way before I star working I warned you that I would charge more because I have to check everything before do the connection because the Italian towel rack was very expensive and I can be responsable for something after somebody else touch it, also you want to connect a electronic timer working with thermostat so I need to be sure they are compactibe and work fine together , finally everything work fine and you pay me happy and ask me to install a baseboard heater and thermostat next week ,I saw the box and tell you $ 200 because was new box, never open ,and I now everything will be inside the box to do the installation,I meet you 9 AM and finish work pas 3 PM so I didn't charge you the all time that the installation took, The bank charged me because your check was rejected for lack of funds in the acc, I was finally able to collet the money several days later."

He charged per hour. It ended up being a fairly long time at the full price rate. It was around $500. It was a lot.  He was friendly and professional. He was available. He got it to fit. The end result is, that it was in. However, it didn’t fit the first time he tried widening the space. So I think a little measure twice, cut once. He ended up having to shave 1/4 to ½ inch off the sides of the frame. When we bought the microwave, we had measured ourselves and it was a little too large for the space. He had to widen the space a little bit. Which was tricky, but it did take him a couple of tries and he ended up just jamming it in there. So, he got it working, and it looks fine. He was cash only, and at the price that it was, it was a little tricky getting cash at that size.  It did end up being a lot (price) to install a microwave. If we had known how much it would be in total, we might have not kept the microwave, we would have gotten something smaller. I don’t know if I would use him again. I might give someone else a chance.

Very well. Both times Alberto quickly set up appointments to visit for an estimate, provided a thoughtful estimate, came promptly and as scheduled to do the work, and fixed both problems successfully. In the second case with the joist repair, the project took considerably more time and effort than we thought at first, but we knew that there was a possibility of that happening. Even so, Alberto provided a better and cheaper solution to our problem than solutions that others were proposing to do. In short, I highly recommend Alberto for carpentry and repair work.

What stool out was his quality of work, knowledge of repairing things. It’s an old home and he was very good at coming up with ways to fix things on an old house. He was punctual, neat, tidy and knew his work.

Most of it went fine. Consentino ran into a problem with one bath tub faucet which required some engineering to enable him to complete the job. We rate him highly but his services were very expensive!

There was a certain way that he wanted me to pay him I believe which kind go to believing that there was a fee that he had to pay with Angie’s Agency. So it felt funny afterward. It wasn’t finish but it as workable.

Alberto arrived exactly when he said he would, and suggested a much better solution than my idea - a flat piece of plexiglass to cover the whole, through which the meter could be viewed. No need for a complicated hinge, and no possibility the meter reader could break it while trying to read the meter. Alberto widened the hole (for easier meter reading), created a custom size piece of plexiglass, and did a very neat installation, leaving no mess. Very quick, no nonsense, no hassle, just the way a small job should be handled. Alberto will be my first call for any future handyman needs.

Alberto spent a lot of time adjusting the light fixture that I purchased. He finally was able to get it to work. He took me to Home Depot to shop for the shelving materials that he installed.
