The product and quality of installation were excellent.  I would highly recommend Amtico vinyl to anyone looking for a very realistic wood floor that doesn't scratch and is water resistant.  I couldn't be happier with the finished product.  However, the speed of service and reliability of communication from Michael at Beau Monde left something to be desired.  THe floor took a 3-4 weeks to install and no other work could take place as part of the remodel because dust would effect the installation.  I understand that quality work takes time but I wish these timelines and requirements had been communicated up front.  Instead these timelines were thrown out after a deposit was paid and expectations of a week were communicated to me and my contractor.  The lack of up front, honest communication made it difficult to plan around especially as part of a larger remodel.  Based on the quality of work I would probably recommend them but would caution people to put timing into the contract.  I would also check around on pricing because they run a little high.  They are experts with the Amtico product so I don't know how their work compares to someone else so the premium is probably worth it.

"I am sorry to hear that [member name removed] feels the installation took too long, however we could only start when the general contractor gave us the areas to work in, we started on December 17th and was closed one week for the Christmas Holiday (we usually close for two weeks). When you do this type of custom work you can never rush or add more installers, you can only start at one point until it is completed. This was one of the most beautiful projects we have installed and I would be very happy to email pictures to anyone who would like to see Amtico flooring at it's best. [member name removed]did a fantastic job in picking the correct colors along with the perfect stripping (piping) for her home. We are the only Amtico certify showroom in Northern California and use certify Amtico installers, I myself (Michael Kazarian) is one of only four members of the Amtico National Advisory Council in the USA."

Got very good recommendation on Amtico flooring from kitchen designer. Found the local source and visited to learn more. Sales person was extremely helpful with samples, pictures, and advice. We choose a bright, cheerful color and a unique pattern. Salesman strongly advised us to use Amtico installers, but agreed to tell my contractor what was needed. My contractor did not heed the salespersons advice and installed the special sub flooring improperly. He conceded that the installation of the actual flooring material should be done by Beau Monde. The installer from Beau Monde was very unhappy with the condition of the sub floor and convinced me it had to be replaced. He then tore out and replaced the sub flooring, installed the flooring and cleaned up the resulting floor to give a spectacular final touch to the kitchen. Beau Monde worked around our schedule and corrected the original contractor's mistake in a very professional manner. They even sent us Baklava for Christmas. Great place
