First I am disputing the $149.40 for 22 carnations. It was embarrassing to have my name associated with the puny floral spray. Even with the upgrade it looked like it cost no more than $30.00-$50.00. If I hadn?t taken a copy of the website with me, no one would have believed what was received was the same as the picture I ordered. Secondly, I was never telephoned or e-mailed to notify me about the additional cost to my order. My account charged $174.82? Nor was I telephoned to advise they would be unable to create the spray that I ordered. They just threw together the carnations they had on hand, some old and beginning to brown. I left a total of 5 messages. It took 4 days for Pink Lotus to call back. Finally I received a call from Pink Lotus(PL). Yes he confirmed the designer works out of a Conroys store in Corona. He did not give an address. The additional charge was for the conversion rate. They are Canadian based company. This was not stated on the web site and it was not mentioned in our conversation when I called to confirm the order. The man from PL relayed the designer said I received full value. After we went back and forth he agreed to refund the difference in price and $20.00 I paid for an upgrade. Still Not acceptable to me. What would make me happy? An apology, & a refund of more of the original amount. I will never use Pink Lotus again but will repeat every detail of this awful experience of service and arrangement to anyone that will listen.
Description of Work: Went on the internet for a florist in Corona, California to order a spray for my sister-in-law’s funeral on July 31, 2009. The website said “Fresh Flowers delivered fast”. I ordered a spray of red and white fully opened carnations. Item number S27-3808, base price of $109.90, plus I ordered the medium upgrade for an additional $20.00. The website states upgrades are of flowers of equal or greater value. I agreed to the $149.90 price and received a confirmation order for the above. See screen shot of confirmation notice. The arrangement they delivered had 11 red and 11 white carnations with 3 stems of carnation unopened buds. It was a third of the size of the picture posted on the PinkLotus website. That arrangement shows as total of 27 carnations, plus white button pompons. My arrangement did not have nearly the amount of carnations. No, I did not take a picture. I usually don’t take a camera to funerals/memorial services.

I want a refund. I was very disappointed. I have been calling since Saturday and no one has called me back. I have left them messages. They are just not responding to me. I think they farmed the arrangement out to another florist, but the website did not say anything about that. They are Canadian based and I was told that sometimes the rate of exchange will increase the invoice amount quoted. I spoke to Steve and he told me he was with Pink Lotus Florists. I was very disgruntled about the whole thing and he said we have customers all over and some of them are happy and some of them are not. They are going to be refunding me about $50.00.
Description of Work: I ordered a funeral spray and I upgraded it. It was to be delivered in Corona. The website shows a beautiful red and white spray. We paid $149.00 for it. When it arrived, I was so embarrassed. There were less than two dozen carnations. It was one third the size of the picture online.
