For the bid Aaron Doss came exactly at the appointed time and was very easy-going and professional.  He also made some excellent suggestions to our design.  The wife and I felt comfortable with him, and since his bid was the lowest of the contractors we met with we decided to go with his company.  When his installers came they were polite, professional, respectful of our house and really wanted to make sure I was happy with the job.  Their work was excellent, and the cabinets and shelves they built look great!   I would definitely recommend this company and would certainly use them again.

the whole project, from design to installation took 4 weeks. Everything turned out beautifully.  the owner showed up to inspect the job several times, and sent out his finishing crew to make sure nothing was beneath his standards, which were higher than mine. Before the finishing crew, I actually thought they were done, and was already satisfied with the work. After the finishing crew, the entertainment center turned out better than I could imagine.  I would highly recommend using these guys as they do excellent custom work.

Its been about a year since we Don?s cabinets have provided us with an excellent product  that we enjoy every day.  I contacted Don?s cabinets in the middle of our home remodel.  They were one of three cabinet makers that I had interviewed after being disappointed with delays in receiving a completed design from our contractor?s cabinet maker.

I met with Aron and explained what we wanted to do, all of which was quite unique and custom.   He immediately grasped the concepts and had excellent suggestions.  Picking Don?s cabinets was a no brainer.  Their price was very competitive and it was clear that they knew what they were doing.  We were not disappointed.  Some examples included  taking advantage of the corner space with a hidden corner unit and a custom hidden desk behind pocket doors and a custom entertainment unit.  They were able to create several custom drawer units including a dog food drawer and hidden slide out book case.  Aaron said they can do what ever we dream up and he was right on. Everything turned out as planned.

 We also had some special finishes including backlit onyx countertops and Aron was able to quickly understand my vision and made some excellent suggestions to ensure we got what we wanted.   

For example,  I explained that we wanted to have a 14 inch overhang on our island counter.  My contractor said that would require a triangle, which would have been bulkey and in the way.  Aron showed me their custom cantilevered supports made out of the same cabinetry material.  They were sleek and not noticeable, a very nice addition that was included in the price.  Aaron also had great suggestions on cabinet finishing and the final product was, and still is very  beautiful very functional. 

 

Thanks to Don, Aaron and their crew for an amazing job on our custom cabinet project. The craftsmanship and quality of work is very impressive. We especially appreciate how much time Aaron took with us to ensure we maximized the cabinet space and to collaborate with us during the entire process.   Their crew was first rate and the quality of the cabinetry is excellent.  We highly recommend them for any cabinetry project.

I have worked with Don's Cabinets company before.  They built my kitchen cabinets about 3 years ago.  This time I wanted a new bathroom vanity but could not find anything I liked in the stores.   Aaron is one of the customer service reps.  He is very knowledgeable.  I sat with him and explained exactly what I wanted.  I had several pictures of vanities with one thing about each that I liked..  Aaron drew up a detailed drawing along with measurements......



  The process is easy and the cabinet company will not start work until everything has been approved and signed off by you the customer..  My cabinet was installed on time and it is exactly what I wanted.  A Note;  I had approved  3" legs on the vanity however; when it was installed I found that it was to tall for the small bathroom.  I called Aaron, explained the situation.  He was very understanding and sent his workers out the next day.  The legs were cut down to 1" with no mess and now my new vanity is exactly what I wanted.. Thank you Don's Cabinets...

After many quotes from "Closet design" contractors that could not build the cabinet the way the original had been set up, we called Don's Cabinets that we found on Angies List.  Aaron came out and was able to design a cabinet with heavy shelves that would span the entire width of the cabinet.  The cabinet was built in their shop and installed in two pieces, plus the doors/shelves.  The installers were in and out in a couple of hours and did a great job.  The cabinet is beautiful and a big improvement over the original one.  We wish we had used this alder wood for our kitchen cabinets.  The finished product is solid, strong and beautiful: we could not be more pleased with the result.  For a few hundred dollars more than the "closet design" ideas, we have an upgrade to our home.  None of the other bids would have been as good as the previous cabinet we were forced to demolish in a water leak/re-pipe.  Now we have built in cabinets that are a definite upgrade to our home.  It's nice to have a project turn out better than you expected!

They were good.  They were professional and prompt.  I had back orders but they fit me in and finished it within the time frame.

Aaron was quick to respond to  my initial call to come and view and measure our old kitchen.  He followed up with suggested material and style of cabinets, as well as invited us to his site to view the different styles and glazes.  After we approved the design, he began working on building them.  They were installed in one day after they were completed.  At this point, the contractors began the electrical and plumbing work after removing the appliances and sinks.  We then starting viewing and finally selecting the granite slabs for installation.  The Medenas worked 5 days a week from then on until it's completion, outside of a couple week delay getting the granite installed.  All installation of a appliances, sinks, faucets, toilet, and ceiling  lights and  did a beautiful job installing the backsplash.  Raphael completed the finish paint work on the walls, ceiling and trim..and we ended up with a beautiful, functional kitchen we are proud of. 

I met with both the owner of the company and his son. I thought they were both very professional. They were  both on time when they had appointments with me. The crew who completed the job was very professional and cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with their services and the quality of the cabinets as they are made of high quality materials.

My  husband  and I called several cabinet makers from Angie's list. Don was the only one that would come to our home for a very small job. We needed a cabinet reworked to fit a wine cooler.While Don was at our home I asked for a estimate for a closet and drawers in our bedroom. The estimate was fair, so we went ahead with the job. The cabinets in our bedroom are beautiful and they did a great job with the wine cooler, as that space was difficult to work with. It looks great.

As a do-it-yourselfer, I needed to get two drawer fronts, cabinet door fronts that matched my existing kitchen cabinets for my 1986 vintage home.  These would then fit over the new sliding drawer and sliding trash bin/recycle bin assemblies that I installed where the defunct trash compactor had once lived.
Of course, I turned to Angie's list to find a quality cabinet maker.  That is when I found Don's Cabinets, Inc. , as well as a few others.  I sent out a descriptive email to each explaining what I needed, and that it was a small job, just to create the door/drawer fronts to match, and then I would do the rest.  Aaron Doss or Don's Cabinets, Inc was the first to respond, and the most professional.  We corresponded on dimensions and style, until I was certain that he could produce exactly what I needed.
I contracted for the work entirely via email, sent a check for the job, and my drawer fronts were ready in under two weeks!  A quick stop at the shop in Bellflower, and I got to meet Aaron.  Professional to the last, my drawer fronts were carefully wrapped in protective cardboard awaiting pickup.  Aaron unpacked each one for inspection for my approval.  The work was outstanding, they were an exact match for my existing cabinets!
Although I couldn't get to the task of installing and finishing the drawer fronts for another few months, due to other home improvement projects, I finally finished the work this past week.  I must say they came out great!  (see photos).
Dealing with Don's Cabinets, Inc, and particularly Aaron Doss, was a treat!  I appreciate professional people and organizations, and great customer server, and Don's provided both.  I was very mindful that this was a very small job, and fully expected most shops to shy away or charge me a premium for such a small job involving short run setup, etc.  But not with Don's!  Aaron was not the least put off by the small size of the job, and treated my $60 job as professionally as a full kitchen remodel.  OUTSTANDING.
When it comes time for the full kitchen upgrade we plan in the future, my first call will be to Don's Cabinets, Inc.

The actual installation took two days.  No mess.  The workmen came in and installed all the cabinets in a very professional manner.  All the pieces fit perfectly.  They are exactly what I wanted.   A couple of months later we had a small problem with a cabinet that was above our washer and dryer.  Erin came out to inspect the situation.  He uninstalled it and took it with him that day.  We received the cabinet back, fixed at no charge within a weeks time.  Overall I am extremely happy. What a difference.

The overall installation was completed in two days.  The workmen were on time each day. There was no mess and overall no real problems.  I would definitely use them again.  I am extremely happy with the cabinets and the company.

They did beautiful job. The quality was excellent. They also performed on a time schedule as promised.

Working with Don and his team went very well. It took a little long to get the drawings the way I wanted but that was just as much my fault. The cabinets are very solid. I got a steamed beach color I had never seen any where. They were absolutely the nicest people and very straight forward. They do great work. They don't even need to advertise, they rely on word of mouth. Their reputation precedes them. I did comparisons with a home improvement store, don't even waste your time with them, go with Don's cabinets. They use real wood and pull outs on all bottom cabinets.

This is a good family-owned company that has been in business for many years. I would definitely refer this company to others.
