Things went great with this project. He was on time and did the work quickly, he was very professional.

Masonry Work
Pat and his helper arrived on time and with the materials they needed. They completed the work in a few hours. I inspected it and found that the mortar work appeared overly thick in places, and also bulged out instead of being recessed to match the other mortar. Pat explained that it would be stronger this way, but then he proceeded to scrape out and recess the mortar anyway. Overall we are satisfied with the results. Time will tell how well the work lasts. We had asked Pat to additionally remove a cement fountain from our property, and he had agreed to do so as part of the work he was charging us for. He said he'd come back the next day and get it, but he didn't. It has now been three weeks and he became very defensive on the phone when we called him about it. He also failed to remove scraps of old mortar. In short, the work looks satisfactory, but his refusal to complete everything he promised to do leaves a bad taste in our mouths.

MY WIFE ACCIDENTALLY BACKED INTO A NEIGHBOR'S BRICK PIER AND THE NEIGHBOR RECOMMENDED PAT CANAVAN MASONRY. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.
