They specialize in granite and quartz counter tops. They are real experienced. You can tell they know what they are doing. They are real professional. They did good detail work and good finish. If there is anything to match, like caulk, or this and that, they have one guy that that is all he does is mix dyes and all sorts of things. They come out one day to do the measuring and they come out the next day and install the product so it was real efficient. You can expect quality and good price.

Removal of old tile counter tops in kitchen and bathroom went well with the exception of slight damage to walls, molding and ceramic floor tile, ie, small dents on molding and wall and small chips on floor tile.
Installation of granite counter top was fair with minor problems with placement and fit. Example, overhang on counter top was uneven on either side of doorway, approximately 3/8" difference.
The major problem arose with installation of kitchen tile back splash. Walls were improperly prepared causing tiles to be uneven. The grout lines were much wider than requested and the tiles did not match in the corners. Installer turned the HVAC thermostat on high to accelerate the drying process of the thin set but left door open to allow easy access to driveway where he was cutting tiles. This caused an unnecessary heating of the entire house and wasted energy out the open door.
We were unsatisfied with the result and had to call someone else to remove what he did, prep the wall correctly and install new tile.
Custom Surfaces did not charge us for the time and material of the unsatisfactory back splash but the inconvenience of having to go through the mess and delays of tile demolition and installation twice was disappointing.
