+ -1 moreEach time Darrell's estimate was fair and he completed the work on time, safely, and with appropriate permits. Before Darrell, we originally made the mistake of hiring handymen, thinking it would save money. They caused catastrophic problems, including shoddy, illegal construction with no permits. This caused us tremendous losses. We recommend you always hire licensed, competent contractors like Darrell-they save you money in the long run. Handymen are usually unlicensed, and if a problem occurs you are unprotected. Beware that they also frequently will violate California law by working on projects over the $500 legal limit.
Description of Work: Darrell performed a number of home renovation and improvement projects for us during 2012. Darrell did the following jobs for us: installing a gate, installing a tile floor, rebuilding a shed, rewiring two houses, replacing an electrical panel, repairing a roof, rebuilding a lawn irrigation system and landscaping, installing a swamp cooler, demolishing two dangerous structures, installing attic ventilation system, and most recently installing two furnaces and air conditioners.
