We r very happy with the BBQ island. Company representative explained the process, answered all the questions, advised on possibilities of savings, showed samples, pictures, catalogues etc. The design was custom made, all our wishes were taken in. Great attention to details. Pleasure to work with. The timing was accurate and precise. The cost was reasonable. The final price turned out even a bit lower than initially approved due to material savings. Installation took 1 day. Highly recommend.

L.A. Custom Grill Islands is highly recommended. I live in Santa Barbara and looked all over to find the right combination of cost and quality. At first I was concerned that working with someone out of town would be a problem - but it was not at all.
Working with Brock is a pleasure. He knows everything about grills, grill islands, and fireplaces. He helped design both pieces so they fit perfectly in our yard and was never pushy. He even made the drive to our house and took photos of the yard, which he then turned into renderings showing exactly what the pieces would look like in place. He
had no problem going through several rounds of minor design changes and would always follow up with new drawings.
He also saves us about $1000 with a custom outdoor fireplace. He designed a unit to the specs of a prefabricated model we were going to purchase, which was less money and allowed us to match the tile and trim of the grill island.
Brock and his crew delivered and installed the island and fireplace to Santa Barbara, for a nominal charge. Everything
was smooth and it ended up looking and working just like we had hoped. This is where the beauty of the drawings come in - there were no surprises about the size or fit. I had already purchased the grill components separately, prior to ordering the island. Brock had no problem installing them, but probably could have sold me the items for the same or
less.
After dealing with a few other companies and either getting very expensive quotes or vague promises about design and timelines, I am very happy I found Brock and his company. I highly recommend calling them if you live in Southern California and are considering a grill island or outdoor fireplace.

We love our new grill island! Brock was very responsive and delivered exactly what he promised within the promised time frame. He provided many ideas but let us choose what we wanted without any pressure. This included not only the size of the island, but also the variance appliances (grill, burners, refrigerator and sink), as well as the color, tiles, lights, etc. When we found an unusal type of sink that we really wanted Brock went the extra effort to install it and make sure it worked. The end result is beautiful and very practical. I have no doubt we will be spending more time cooking in our backyard. The island wasn't cheap but neither is the workmanship. We feel like it was as good value. We would definitely recommend Brock to anyone looking to enhance their outdoor entertaining. Your neighbors will be jealous!

Called Brock. He was very responsive and accommodating. Came to our Palisade home from Pasadena for measurement. Gave us some good suggestions how to re-do the BBQ cover and make it beautiful and more secure. A month later, he personally came to install it. He takes pride in his work. Love his cover.

His cutsom grill was perfect for our needs and we use it all the time to entertain. The size, look, and price were all perfect. Very happy with the service overall and would highly recommend it!

I cannot speak highly enough of Brock, his integrity, and the quality of workmanship he provided. I called him mid-week and he came out the next Sunday to look at my yard and discuss what I had in mind. He came prepared with pictures, samples of tile, and books on my choices for a grill. Never having worked with him before I was a little leery because it was an expensive project, but it turned out to be worth every penny. He built exactly what I requested, delivered it sooner than he promised, and installed it perfectly. I'm pretty picky and he totally met my expectations. Brock delivers quality and service like the "old days" -- says what he's going to do and does what he says. I couldn't ask for more.
