It was fast and professional! All work was done as describe. Service was above and beyond. Jerry and his team from start to finish were the best! The work that needed to be done from start to finish was explained in detail. We had three estimates, but Jerry came to our home he spent over 45 minutes explaining all of our options and available products that best suited our needs! He left no stone unturned, when he left we we confident we were with the right company! We couldn't be happier with our experience with BSW!

Of five recommended roofing companies, only two responded to give a bid to replace a roof on a 4400 sq ft home.  BSW gave a complete, professional quote with a very competitive price.  Guillermo Murillo, project manager, was very professional, explaining in detail the complete re-roof process and what to expect during each phase of the job.  He worked for a week to find the right color and style of tile, and engineered the design to our satisfaction.  The crew was very clean, neat, and polite, leaving no mess at the end of each day.  The job took almost three weeks to complete, but they finished ahead of schedule  and on the last day had a crew do a detailed clean-up  of the entire property.  I will strongly recommend BSW to anyone looking for roof repair or replacement!

From when they arrived on Monday morning with the rolloff until the final inspection I could not ask for a more professional crew.  All areas of concern like the inside of the garage and flower beds were tarped with plastic.  At the end of each day they did a site clean up and rolled a magnet to pick up dropped nails.  Each segment of the process is done by a specialized crew so they are fast and knowledgeable.  In all it took 5 days of actual work with final project manager and code inspectors falling into the next week.
As a single woman, I have to say that I worried about getting this work done for over two years and it took a chance conversation with my neighbor who works for the company to get the ball rolling.  Jerry made the whole process, except the cost, painless.  He explained everything in detail, told me about the Angie's list coupon,, answered my questions, offered me choices and made the decision to move forward easy.
If you want a company with hometown feel and big city expertise BSW is the one to choose.

Everything went very well.  The job started on Thursday. Work was done on Thursday-Saturday and finished on Monday-Tuesday.
At the end of each day a clean up crew made sure everything was picked up off of the ground and left as it was before work began.
A small solar yard light was accidently broken when the tile packaging was dropped to the ground.  The crew reported this to Evan and he made sure that it was replaced without my ever even saying anything to him about it.
I was so impressed with the presentation that Evan made that I selected BSW even though other bids came in a little bit lower.
He came with many brochures and information about his company.  I was shown there proof of insurance, business license, etc.
After already making up my mind to use BSW I found out that my Aunt and also a cousin had both used BSW several years back and had nothing but good things to say about their experience and the longevity of their roofs.  My Aunts was installed in 1999, she stills lives under that roof and has had no issues at all.

Getting started was a bit rocky...the sales person was obviously very busy and we kept missing each other. But perseverance paid off. The work was done quickly, quietly (as mush as roofing work can) and to a very high standard of professionalism. They helped move items at risk from falling debris, covered our pool, everything in our garage....and if there was something they or we were particularly concerned about, they addressed it. The area was cleaned up every day before they left and they came back to check final details every time, even touching up some places on the fascia board and stucco that had been missed.
We love our new roof, the way it looks! People say that BSW is highly priced, but we didn't find that they were any higher than the rest. PLUS they are here and back their product and work with years of history. I would recommend them in a heartbeat....I would pay more or their level of service. We've watched a lot of cut-rate roofs going up in our neighborhood, and we are thrilled ours isn't on of them!

My husband and I used BSW Roofing to replace our wood shake roof to comp. due to multiple people in our neighborhood using their services and seeing their timely and professional work in progress. Our home was no exception to the work we had witnessed prior. Jerry assisted us with gettting financing in order to afford this process in a timely manner which was essential due to insurance purposes. Also I work nights so I was a little picky regarding when they could come to begin the job due to having to sleep during the day. They not only accommodated my wishes, but they completed the job in 2 days from start to finish; including clean up, which definitely stood up to my standards. We are so happy with our new roof, and our choice with using BSW Roofing and would recommend them to any family, friend, or neighbor!

I had checked Angie's List, BBB, and coworkers and all gave good strong recommendations.  I stopped by their showroom on a whim and was treated very courteously as they explained my options.  The explanations came from foremen and people who had hands on experience with their products.  No uninformed salesmen!
Evan came out to give us a quote along with giving us a list of a couple of dozen homes in our area with roofs similar to what we were considering.  After comparing all the choices, roof types, costs, etc., we decided on BSW as the best quality value.  We had a quote from another highly rated contractor, but the BSW quote was actually lower and included better value.  The FREE Angie's List solar fan coupon really help tip the balance.
BSW arrived on time, covered from the top of the side walls to the floor all the stuff in my garage and covered my pool to help keep out dirt.  At the end of the first day, the old shake roof was gone and the cleanup crew "rolled" the area with a large roller magnet to pick up all the loose nails and staples.  They also did this at the end of the job.
Crews were all friendly and were always willing to address any questions or concerns we had.  Evan came out several times during the job to check on job progress and to make sure we were happy.  We were.  We noticed a couple of crew slips:  1) a new small bathroom vent got sheathed over, and 2) the insulation was thin in a couple of the weird attic spaces our house has.  Evan immediately had the crews correct the errors.
We asked for work to be suspended for a day so we could have new cable TV/Ethernet wiring run and BSW was quite willing to work with the electrical contractor.  They didn't complain, even though that delay caused them to run up against the weekend and a weather report of "possible isolated thunder showers" with the roof not yet waterproof.  They covered the roof with plastic for the weekend at no additional cost.  BTW, rain in Bakersfield in mid-June is only slight more likely than snow in Death Valley.
Make no mistake, having a roof replaced is dirty work, but BSW cleaned up the jobsite daily, removing all trash and loose materials.  Some dust filtered into the house, but I don't know how that could have been prevented.  After the job was done, they cleaned all trash and blew out the dust in the garage and around the exterior of the house.  Considering they removed and reinstalled several thousand nails, staples and screws during the course of the job, I have found less than 25 that they missed around the house.  I'm very pleased with the cleanup.
Evan has been back 2-3 times in the last 10 days to adjust the solar fan for best sun angle and to check on our satisfaction with the job.  I can enthusiastically recommend BSW Roofing for a professional and courteous roof installation.

Quality team of roofing professionals.  Offered many options and delivered sales presentation in a very friendly, very professional, knowledgeable manner.  Did not feel pressured to use them and I am glad I did.  They delivered quality service and quality roofing service and material.

They were professional from the get go. Evan came to evaluate the job and presented a detailed, accurate bid. He was prompt in getting back to me when I had questions and gave me an accurate time frame of when they could start the job and how long it would take. Our timing was poor due to the holidays and the rainy season, but it only took a day longer than he said and that was due to an unforseen problem with the hvac. I would absolutely use them again and recommend the company highly.

Evan was our project manager. He is very professional showing us all the required paper work i.e. certificate of liability insurance. The roofers were on time and cleaned up when they were finished for the day. Thank you Jerry for adding more fans on our roof. We would recommend BSW to family, friends and to anyone looking for a roofing contractor.

From start to finish, we were very pleased with all aspects of the job.

They didn't even charge us. We didn't use them to put our roof on, but we wished we would have. They do superior work. They came out and looked at the roof and quoted us what the charge would be. We said that was fine. He got up on our roof and found out a seal around our master cooler had broken. He repaired it. I told him I was going to get a check for him and he said "nahh, just call us the next time you need us." It was the owner that came out. I would recommend him for anything. The office staff was courteous. When they said he would be hear within a window of time, he was here within the top of the window. He looks at what people can afford. He was very kind.

Excellent! They operated like a well-oiled machine! The crews were on time, polite & efficient. They completed the job on schedule and left the area spotless.

The work went great.  The workers were friendly and the supervisor very accessible.  In addition the office staff was friendly and responsive.  In addition we subcontracted the blown in insulation with them which ended up saving $900.00 from the quote we got from the same insulation company.

They showed up on time, and did what they said they were going to do. They put the roof on quickly. It was really good. The various people came back a few times to check and recheck the work they did. The price was excellent for the job they did. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. I would definitely call them back, if needed.

I have had several contractors in my home recently with very bad experiences.   The workers (from previous contractors) do not speak English and the work they did was less than satisfactory, which resulted in me spending hundreds of dollars to fix the contractors shoddy work.  As a result, I have been very picky about who comes to my home to perform services.   I was very clear when I called BSW that I wanted English speaking ONLY to come to my home; I have to be able to communicate clearly.  I was apprehensive when my request was not honored.  I called with my concern and spoke with Ernie, who offered to come to my home and go over everything with me.  He was so kind and understanding, he won me over.  I never felt as if Ernie was trying to sell me something I did not need.  He explained everything the estimator proposed.  I did go to the yard and met with the estimator so he could walk me through their "grave yard" to find a tile that closely matched mine. 
Guillermo (the estimator) promised me all would go smoothly and on time.  He did not disappoint.  They were here as promised and got the work done on time.  They offered to do little extras that were not part of the quote, like re-paint the facia board at the patio and paint the flashing at my entrance.   After completion of the work, I went into the office to pay.  Everyone was very friendly.  I would, without hesitation recommond BSW and I will use them again should I ever need additional repairs. I feel this is one of a very few contractors in Bakersfield you can trust.

Great job except for lack of attic cleanup. Shingle splinters and nails left.

BSW came in with the best price of several roofing contractors I contacted. They put on the roof and cleaned up the mess fairly well. However, the roof leaked terribly in one spot, more so than the old roof. When I contacted them to come out and look at it, they told me they could not make it out for at least ten days. I simply could not wait that long because a storm was coming, so I had to hire another roofer to fix the one area that was leaking. When BSW finally did come out, they claimed that they were not responsible for the area that leaked and the subsequent damage to my ceiling and walls, which I had to pay for out of my own pocket. The person who came out to look at it gave me a totally nonsensical reason as to why the roof leaked and they did nothing to follow up. BSW had a high rating with the BBB and also had excellent references so my experience with them may have been unusual. Although the roof was otherwise well done, the fact that they did not respond within a reasonable period of time and that they did nothing regarding the resulting damage leads me to recommend that you carefully consider other contractors when in the market to purchase a new roof.

There were several houses who had their roof replaced which got us thinking about it. We got our roof replaced in less than a week an excellent job all away around. It was extremely professional. The only think I can say is they are extremely busy and they have been in business for 75 years if that tells you anything because they are very busy it may take them a little time to come and do an estimate but once they get on the job they are efficient.

During rainstorms this Spring the guest house where my daughter lives began to have mysterious seeping on the walls. BSW came out and determined that the flat roof was deteriorating and the roof needed to be replaced.  The estimate was for  $3885. but any deteriorated wood that was found on removal of the old roof was to be extra (at a price noted on the estimate per foot.  They worked quickly and finished all but the final coating required by city code and needed to be applied after all had dried out.  They came back about a week later and applied it.  They were courteous and careful of my plants.  The only thing that happened that was less than excellent was that the dust and particles from removing the roof sifted into my daughter's thing inside, but since she was at work, we didn't know until that evening.  They were very apologetic and said they had no idea this was happening. I used them  3 years ago on my main house and was thoroughly happy with the work and would use them again.
