Alspaw Tree Service

They came out to provide a bid on Wednesday and provided the tree service on Friday of the same week.  We were told they would arrive between 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. however, when I arrived home at 11:45 they still hadn't arrived.  I called the office, the receptionist quiickly returned my call and said the crew had to go out on another call but she was never notified, which meant that I wasn't notified.  The crew did show up in the afternoon and they did a fantastic job.  The tree is huge and there were many employees and a lot of equipment was used.  Not only did they do a wonderful job on the tree, they also did a great job on the cleanup, which included the surrounding yards and roof.  We were very happy with the service!  The only glich was the confusion on the time they would arrive.

Day before they were scheduled to do work got call that stated workers would be there in "afternoon" without an actually timeframe, so I needed to clarify what "afternoon" actually mention. Then the time frame I was given was a 4 hr window which was pretty hard to sit around waiting 4 hrs for maybe 30 min worth of work.
Then to come to find out that guy that gave me estimate didn't include having palm trunk shaved which actual worker told me my tree needed along with the trim. 
I still havent received acutal invoice like I was told I would receive the day before on the confirmation call.

I chose Alspaw because they got good reviews on Angie's and they had a 10% off coupon. I called them up on Thursday and they came out and gave me an estimate of $135 on Friday morning to trim up my 3 date palms. They estimated the middle of the next week to do the work, but ended up coming out the same day. They were fast! They took care of the three palms and cleaned up in just over an hour. I was actually really impressed by their efforts to clean up. They even skimmed my pool. I would recommend this company and will be using them again.

They did a fantastic job on the trimming and the cleanup effort was fantastic.  I would definitely use Alspaw again.  The Angie's List 10% discount coupon was an added bonus.

The estimate went fine and they stuck to the estimate. They arrived on time and trimmed the trees and cleaned up very well. They did what they said they would do. It only took an hour. They did a fine job and would recommend them.

Alspaw's representative was courteous and punctual, but with 2 offers for $800, one would be hard pressed to choose Alspaw for this job for $1500. I did not use their services, so I cannot comment on quality of their work.

The estimate was easy and the price was reasonable.
The work was scheduled and completed and done with efficiency and a clean finish.
I would use this company again and have recommended them to others.

They were able to send a crew the same day and got the job done quickly and efficiently.
What impressed me the most is that the foreman advised me that the tree & stump removal could potentially break some sprinkler pipes, but that they'd fix them before leaving. He was right -- they broke and promptly repaired a couple of sprinkler lines.
They also thoroughly cleaned up the yard and hauled away the trimmings, sawdust, debris, and everything. There's no trace of the stumps or surface roots.
They've done lots of work for me previously at other locations, and always do a prompt, professional job. I highly recommend Alspaw Tree Service.

I like the fact that they have a certified arborist on their staff. He actually comes out and makes the decision about how the trees are to be trimmed. He is a professional and not just a guy who bought himself a chainsaw. I love that. Our city has a terrible reputation for the worst pruned trees I have ever seen. I think it is important to get somebody who truly has the training and the experience necessary to be a certified arborist and to do the job. I would rate them highly. I would use them again in the future.

Ontime do a good job to clean up and know what they are doing experienced

They were spectacular.  I couldn’t believe the price.  They were only there for half a day and then they were done.  Everything was spotless when they were finished and they hauled everything off.  They were top drawer the whole way.  You don’t come across companies like this very often.  Everything was Johnny-on-the-spot and it was just perfect.

They were ready to go on the date that they said. They had the replacement trees already at the house and they showed up and got the entire job done with out having to stop. They were in and out and I thought it was top drawer.

I have had problems with this company before and was not going to use them again, but was talked into it by my lawn person who assured me he would supervise. The first time they cut way more than what was agreed upon and broke many pots and instead of acknowledging it they hid the pots.  If I hadn't noticed the trail of pottery shards and looked for where they came from the plants would have been dead by the time I knew anything was wrong.
This time  it was ok although they cut more than I had agreed to.

I had my handyman do it and it ended up costing more than they quoted

He was very, very nice and right to the point with what he thought should be done. He was a little bit cheaper than another bid I got and I am leaning toward hiring them.

All they've given us, a place of happiness because they were fabulous and I had them come down and they were great. They did $1500 worth of work and the owner came out on the job site and he was just great. He's been doing this like forty years so I was very, very impressed. They were 30 minutes early. It was supposed to rain yesterday and so they did it in the afternoon and it was perfect. They were wonderful and I'm so grateful for Angie's List, because I have seen other things advertised by the competitors but I'll stay with you guys. Their price was super; they probably did an extra $200 of work.

Fantastic. The trees look wonderful. As a bonus, they salvaged the oranges I could not pick because they were so high and put them in a box for me. I will use them again and highly commend them on a job well done.
