The Team of movers did and excellent job and they were very professional...they communicated via text every step of the way and made everything time efficient! I am thoroughly satisfied and I gave both movers a nice tip to show my appreciation and satisfaction...

The move went really well. Dan and his team were really responsive and their quote was very reasonable. When I scheduled them, they had warned me that they might have to reschedule the move to another day. Since my schedule was pretty flexible, I told them that was fine. I just needed it moved that week. They did call and reschedule but then showed up for our appointment on time. I had asked that they text me on route and they did so I was able to meet them at the house instead of just waiting. Dan was really professional and took care of our house and piano and the whole experience was great! I would definitely use them again.

The move itself was fine. They arrived within the window given. They came out before giving a bid to assess the stairs in the townhouse I was buying/moving the piano from. The piano was on the 3rd floor, so that side of the move was definitely tough and I agreed to 3 people coming for the job. It took them 40 minutes at the townhouse with 3 people from start to finish. Our home was less than 5 miles away (about 12 minute drive). Moving the piano into our home was literally 2 steps up from the driveway, through a sliding door, and right into the living room (very easy!). The total pack, move, and deliver time was 80 minutes. The disappointment with this was the price. They originally quoted $600, and then they came down to $500. I realized too late that I was still being charged a very high price (Another bid came in late for $280 with 3 people). The hourly rate I paid worked out to $125/hr/person. I would hire them again if they quoted me a more reasonable price. I would not hire them at the rate they charged me.

"Hi Ms. [Member Name Removed], Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to leave us a positive review. In over 30 years of moving pianos we can confidently say that cheaper is not always better or even best. I'm not here to write you about the horror stories we've had to deal with when customers decide to go with the cheaper or cheapest piano mover only to find out that they need to call D & J Piano Movers to come and help them out when they get the piano stuck in a stairwell, or worse yet, dropped the piano, yes, dropped the piano, not to mention the majority of "piano movers" are NOT licensed with the P.U.C. in California which is mandatory. That is also one of the reasons other piano movers are able to offer such low rates. Trust me, Ms. [Member Name Removed] when I say, that hiring a Professional Piano Movers is your best insurance to protect your piano and household from damages. D & J walks through the doors of the most amazing customers in California and we strive to provide the best customer service and professional piano moving for the best price."

It went extremely well. Pick up/ drop off/ and social media updates all happened within 45mins! Overall extremely pleased with their care of our antique 1908 upright and our home, as they were very careful with our interior walls and porch steps.

There was a hiccup with communication, at first. I had messaged the company through Angie's List to see if moving an upright piano from a downstairs location at our old home, to an upstairs room in our new home, was something they could do. I was contacted back and told that it could be done, and the cost would be $140.00. We went back and forth a few times with scheduling before I finally just called to schedule. At that time, I was told by the woman I spoke with (also the person I had been messaging back and forth with through Angie's List) that there had been a mistake and she had not realized it was going to be an upstairs move. She had then quoted $225. Feeling frustrated by the many lapses in customer service I had been recieving throughout our move (and the gross lack of accountability), I was reluctant to move forward. She then suggested we split the difference and requoted $175. Under many other circumstances, I would have just said, "fine" and been done with it, but I was REALLY frustrated by that point. Not to say that all of my frustration was due to her and this particular situation, I was just blown away by how many companies made so many mistakes, lacked accountability of it, and really just expected their customers to make up for it, be inconvenienced by it, or just accomodate the company. This was never my experince, having worked customer service for many years. Anyway, she finally admitted that she was the one messaging me through Angie's List and that she guessed she really hadn't read my whole message. After a pause, she said, "I guess we'll just have to eat this one and do it for the price I had originally quoted you.". As frustrating as that seemed to be for her, I truly appreciated that kind of customer service. People make mistakes, I understand. If she had admitted that from the start I probably would have continued to book at the $225 price. The mistake did not bother me as much as the lack of accountability about it until I read outloud to her our previous messages. Anyway, I booked the move. I was sent a text asking to be rescheduled the day before my move, but it was the last day of the month and we had to be out of our rental that day, so I was not able to accomodate their request. My husband was there for the move and he was EXTREMELY happy with how fast, professional and efficient the team was. There were two men (sorry, I don't have their names) and they were very skilled with what they needed and how to move the piano up the staircase. My husband was blown away bacause the furniture movers were not nearly as fast, efficient or professional and had scratched many things throughout our move, including walls and mouldings, that needed repair. We were very pleased with these two professionals (my husband took photos!) and we would absolutely recommend them. Just make sure you are VERY clear with the office about the scope of work you need done. I really do appreciate the company honoring their original quote, taking accountability for their error, and coming through to do an excellent job!

Great! They handled the work quickly, were on time, within a 2-hour window, called in advance to let me know that they were on their way, and the price was very reasonable.

It went perfect! They were on time. Their time window was only 2 hours, not the 4 that most companies give. They communicated with me when they were about 30 minutes away. They clearly knew what they were doing. Every part of my piano was protected and wrapped like a baby. The same care was taken for setup at the new location. Very professional and courteous.

There were two piano movers that arrived on both ends of the trip and they were able load, and later unload the piano, within 10 minutes.    They arrived within a previously stated time window on both ends of the trip.  There was no damage to tiles in the entry way or door jam on either end of the trip.  They even attached the detachable music stand and plugged the piano into the wall at the destination.  They were very efficient and obviously experienced with the process.
I checked the electronic piano wood finish after delivery to the destination and there was no damage of any kind.  There were no bumps, no scratches, and the electronic parts were also 100% functional.  The piano arrived in perfect condition.
The electronic piano that was moved is a lighter weight musical instrument then a real piano with strings and a sounding board.  So in similar circumstances the fee might be higher for a real piano.
I plan to use the same piano moving company in the future for a different real piano.  I won't bother researching another company because they were so good at getting the first move done for us.

Things went very well and I was pleased with the service provided. I also thought the price was reasonable.
I got a call from the company verifying pickup and was given a 2-hour time window for services. The crew arrived within the time period and promptly started working on moving my belongings. They were polite, courteous, and professional. Upon arriving at my new home, they asked where I would like my belongings placed and took time to fine tune the location. After completion of the job, they thanked me.
I was very pleased with the communication, professionalism, and respect from the moving crew. In the event that I need a piano moved, I will highly recommend D&J Piano Movers.
