FURNITURE MENDERS

Company came out to house to give an estimate of job on June 25th, returned on July 11 to pick up table top and leaves, and returned table top and leaves on July 23rd. Table and leaves look very nice. My only complaint is they charge extra if you use a credit card which was not stated on the estimate that was provided. For that reason I'm not sure i would use them again.

The first time we used this person the work and the attitude were impeccable.  The second time his business had expanded beyond his
ability to do a good job and to be responsive to his client's queries.  We had a table with a stain and to remove the stain he would have had to sand the entire top of the table rather deeply, or use a bit darker stain when doing the final finish.  Instead he just sanded the area and left a "dip" in the table top.  We originally told him we were not in a hurry to have the table back, but after two months we called and asked when we could expect the table and other pieces of furniture to be returned.  We played telephone tag for another month in which we were the only ones telephoning.  When we finally were able to make contact with a person instead of voice mail we were given a date the furniture would be returned.  Did not happen.  Called again, set a date and time.  Did not happen.  Third time's the charm.  So In mid February the furniture we had him working on was returned, however the interior shelf to a cabinet was not there and we had to wait another three weeks for it to be returned.  Oh, he originally picked up all the pieces needing repair in late October. 

They were excellent. They picked it up, fixed it, and brought it back within 3 days. It was really quick and they did excellent work.  The price was very reasonable.

It was a very thorough job.  They were very professional.  I am very pleased with their work.

The project went very well.  Gary Churchwell, the restoration specialist and co-owner is a perfectionist, and is very easy to work with. He initially met with us in our home to explain the options that we should consider.  This included selection of products (wood type, stain color, hardware options).  Later he returned to remove the vanity from the bath to take to his shop.  The refurbishing was done on time, as promised.  He cheerfully stored the vanity in his shop for awhile in order to allow the bath remodel to reach the stage where it was ready to accept the re-installation of the vanity. Gary did not want the new vanity to be installed while demolition, texturing of walls, etc., was being performed.
We now have a vanity that seems brand new and luxurious.
We were totally happy with Furniture Menders and would use them again.

I had an excellent experience with Furniture Menders from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and are fine craftsmen. They came to my home and gave me an estimate. They picked up the furniture as scheduled. They did a lot of good work to repair damage and refinish each piece. The invited my to visit their shop after all pieces had been stripped so I could test the various finish stains and select the ones that I preferred. When the work was done, they delivered the furniture and moved it into place in my home, including moving other pieces of furniture to make room. Best of all, in spite of the poor condition the furniture had been in, all four pieces turned out beautifully. They are simply gorgeous and I am delighted with them! I recommend Furniture Menders to others without reservation. They are professional, friendly, and highly skilled at their work.
