That was an emergency visit. They were astoundingly efficient. She had a dog that had eaten something and we share our house. She was very worried as everything that could go wrong was going wrong. They got her in right away. They took care of the dog. They gave her good information. The diagnosis was prompt and correct. The price was way less than we expected. She had a flat tire on the way down and they waited for her. They were extremely accommodating. We don't go there regularly is because they are sort of far away.

I recently moved into the area, and needed to find a new Vetrinarian. My 15 year old cat had lost a lot of weight in the last 2 months and I just knew she was very sick. I took her to the Animal Medical Center and they recammended a test for her. I asked if it was aand quot;senior screenand quot; and the vet said that we could find out what we needed with a less expensive test. I was very surprised because in the past my old vet was always pushing all sorts of tests. They recommended she have a ultrasound because they felt a mass in her abdomen, she had to stay over night and got the test first thing in the morning. I just knew she had been sick so when she was diagnosed with cancer of the spleen and lympoma, they gave me the option of trying to extend her life for a while or put her out of her mysery (my words). I made the very difficult desicion to put her to sleep and have her cremated. My husband and I were both in tears during the proceedure. The whole office was very sympathetic. The most amazing thing was 2 weeks later we recieved a sympathy card in which no less than 20 people from the medical center had signed, offering us their condolences.
All together the $900.00 paid for her 2 tests, a nights lodging at the vets, and her cremation. I know it seems like a lot but she was a part of our family and I feel it was worth it. I am very happy that I chose the AMC for our vet. I will be with them for a long time.
