I was very pleased with the entire project. They were professional, price competitive and punctual. They even did an on-site shade study to determine the system requirements and predicted performance.

We researched solar for about 6 months, getting detailed bids from 5 companies, 3 of which gave bids on site. (We joked that exploring solar was our new full time hobby for the year!)  A close neighbor had recommended Solarponics twice to us. The Solarponics representative, Lawler, was very patient with us and met with us in person at least 3 times. He was extremely well versed in all aspects of solar and went into great detail with us each time. He also did everything in his power to meet our budget needs. The second important thing that he did for us was to encourage us to research the PG&E rate plans to figure out other ways (in addition to the solar panels) to bring down our electrical usage and costs.  We worked hard at updating a few very old appliances, signing up with a different PG&E plan and changing our electrical usage patterns so that the solar installation could cover most of our usage. (We only wish that we had known about the differences in the PG&E rate plans years ago and that changing a few bad energy habits was easy and not painful!)
We have an all electric house (except for propane for our stove cook-top) and I am happy to report that our bills have gone from over $260/month prior to solar and are now under $5/month with solar.
After the installation there were a few glitches in the inside controller and Solarponics quickly sent techs out to our house to take care of the parts that needed replacement.
We highly recommend this company!

"Hi [Member Name Removed], It has been a little over a year now since your system went online. I'm checking in now to see if you have any questions about your True-Up energy statement from PG&E. It can be confusing to understand. Here is a link to a detailed explanation. https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/solar-and-vehicles/green-energy-incentives/solar-and-renewable-metering-and-billing/how-to-read-your-bill/how-to-read-your-bill.page"

Excellent.  Installers were courteous, on time and did a complete job.  Office staff were also great to talk to and deal with.  I wish all my construction experiences would go as well as this one.

Very helpful and knowledgeable people. Worked a lot with Lawson and he was always available to answer all my questions. I was probably starting to annoy them with all my hesitations, but they were always supportive and were never pressuring me one way or the other. Lawson helped me pick out and understand all of the available options (panels, inverters, etc). Took about 6 months from when I first sat down with Lawson to final installation. Most of that delay was me. Once we got the project started, it was just under three months from signing to installation.

Some of the steps were pretty slow. It took almost a month to get someone out to survey my house. There were also some points during the design and permit phase where I felt like the project got pushed to the back burner. More than a few times I've had to inquire the status and get stuff moving.

But, everything is done, and I'm happy, and I'd recommend Solar Ponics to anyone over another company (including those big national ones).

Installation went very well.
Fast, quality. I barely knew they were there. And they left a gift basket.
The thermostat that comes with the monitoring unit is not that accurate, but none of them are.
Once we learned how to adjust to the settings, we were good.
The only problem we have is not letting the pool get too warm.
The best part, besides having eliminated all heating costs, is that the solar system really did extend our
swim season by about 1 month in the spring and two months in the fall/winter.

It went better than expected. The problem was solved and all I had to do was call.
