We weren't really sure how to approach the project at the start. However, Carlos came in with a good understanding of what needed to be done in order to create a solid, livable space. His pricing may not be the ultimate cheapest in town, however, it is a very fair price to pay for quality, dependable, and timely work. His breakdown of costs was very clear and straightforward. He was even able to save us a bit of money when the windows ended up costing less than had been estimated. // Projects like these often end up costing more than you expect. However, changes in pricing only arose when we made alterations or additions to our original work order; and in that respect, Carlos was very clear with what the additional costs would be. // The construction crew was respectful and friendly. We felt very comfortable with them being inside our house. They were timely, they worked full days, they cleaned up at the end of each day, and the project was finished on the exact day that Carlos had estimated (2 weeks). // My only recommendation would be to have a very clear discussion, at the outset, as to how things are to be finished. For example: What kind of trim will be on the windows? Will floorboards or moulding be installed? What colors will different architectural features be painted? What types of lighting fixtures will be put in? In general, we found that the crew will sometimes work so quickly that certain decisions were made without our input. When we wanted a few changes made to the finishings, Carlos followed through. However, clear discussions about these items beforehand would have saved a bit of trouble. // In all, we had a very positive experience with Jerez Construction and would use them again for future projects.
Description of Work: We had them come in to remodel a room. It was sort of an unusual situation, as this was a porch that had been converted into a semi-enclosed space decades ago. It was really janky, with jalousie windows that were falling apart and a mixture of real and makeshift walls. We wanted to make the room into an entirely enclosed indoor-space to be used as an office. // They left the floor and roof intact, but tore out the walls and all the windows. New walls were framed with 4 huge windows, new ceiling put up, and new exterior siding. Carlos brought in people to drywall, install light fixtures and electrical outlets, paint, and install hardwood flooring. It looks amazing.
